Is anyone aware of 4 bdrm condos for rent in the area? We've rented 3bdrms before and I know we can get rental homes, but I am interested in a condo/townhome type that doesn't have a private pool but does have a community pool.

Both Emerald Island and Windsor Palms have 3 or 4 bedroom Condos and Townhomes. If your willing to pay just a little bit more you can get a house with a private pool. Some of Windsor Palms Townhomes have private pools. Check the following websites:

Hope this helps!!!!

Westgate Lakes Resort (Turkey Lake Rd, nearer Universal) and Westgate Town Center, next door to Westgate Vacation Villas (both on Old Lake Wilson Rd, Kissimmee) each have some 4BR condos. People have very mixed views about these resorts (some like them a lot, some dislike them a lot). The new Fairfield Orlando at Bonnet Creek (timeshare resort) will open in June 2004. I don't know if they will have any rentals available immediately for their 4BR Presidential Suites. HTH.

thanks for the replys. I will research the links and see what i can come up with. We may end up with a pool home but I want to explore all options first.

Tracey - Just curious - why a condo over a house? Cost probably won't be an issue as the price will be about the same either way. And you'd likely have more space in the house. Plus you have a lot more choices in a 4-bedroom house.

Steve-valid question. As you said price is really not a deciding factor....the only consideration is pool heating because we will be there in January. But that's not a huge expense. When posting originally I thought of you and that if anyone would know this answer you would.

My main reason is I have a ds (7) who has Aspergers and some other behavioural issues. I am concerned with having the pool right there, that is all my ds will want to do. When he gets a thought in his head there is no changing it. He would probably be obssessive about the pool, and I would have to be on guard as far as him sneaking out etc. A community pool would give us use of the pool, but not be in his constant sight and act as a constant temptation. The other fear is weather. We have been 5 times in January and have had a full range of weather. There have been days where even with pool heat, the outside temps are to cold for swimming. He would not understand this, his thougths would be this is Florida, there's a pool I must swim.

Now there is the slim possibility the pool would be an advantage because we wouldn't have to deal with starngers and others in a community pool, which is a whole other set of problems.

Sorry for the long winded explanation.......my amazing ds leads a great life bacause I spend hours obssessing over all case scenarios....Thank God for this resource....there are no unknowns!

Tracey -
An interesting dilemma, obviously well thought out on your part.

This site has 4-bedroom townhomes with a community pool. I don't know what development they are in. Perhaps you can call and find out. I plugged in the week of Jan. 24 and the rate was $134/nite.

It is NOT Windsor Palms. I believe they only have 3-bedroom townhomes.

If I come across anything else, I'll pass it along.
