4:30 Opening Ceremony at 1900 Park Fare???

Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone knows any information regarding the 4:30pm Opening Ceremony for the 1900 Park Fare character dinner. We have 5pm reservations, but I thought I heard of an opening ceremony where they pick some children to help open the door and are escorted to their seats by Cinderella. Has anyone done this/seen this? Also, if we get there early, can we see it/be a part of it???

We had 4:30 res. and my dd and niece were picked to open the restaurant. ( I think they were chosen b/c they were dressed up) DN 4, had a cinderella dress on DD 8,too old for that she said, had a very fancy pink dress. We had done their hair, glitter the whole thing. They got to say some magic words, and pull on a pink bow when the door opened all the restaurant staff was lined up and clapping for them, then Cinderella escorted them and us to our table. They were very thrilled even the 8 year old who thought she was too old for princesses.
I suspect being dressed up and cute helps you get picked. We didn't know about it before hand.

Oh, that sounds so neat! My DD will be 2 (we're celebrating her Birthday there) and my oldest DD is 9. She would like her hair done too! I doubt she will wear any kind of dress though! We are going to be in Downtown Disney that day, and I hear that you can get their hair done somewhere.

I wonder if I should try and change our reservations to 4:30pm??? I guess it couldn't hurt to try.
