Stevemed- I just saved a ton of money on my car insurance :rotfl2:!

BLBCB- The Crown Royal is duty free, it was $19.00 us for 1 liter. Here is is over $30.00 for the same size! I will tell Pat about the factory and if and when the weather gets closer to 80....we'll be there! :sunny:

It is not great here either. My mom and I have digital thermometers in our kitchen windows(which face the morning sun, mind you...) and it said this morning 46 degrees around 7:30. We both commented on what a beautiful day it was looking like....So..I dressed Hannah in capris(more like ankle pants for her) and a light jacket(I can't stand this time of year....who the hell knows how to dress their kids for the appropriate weather) and get outside and I swear it was THE coldest and windiest day all winter. I hope she is ok today. They have standardized testing so I hope they don't go outside.

Very interesting stories from everyone- great QOTD Castlegazer!

Since HGP isn't going to post, I will(and perhaps he will read this and wish he was a little quicker on the draw)-his interesting story is that he stuck an eraser up his nose when he was little and it never came out. To this day- we think that is why he snores so loudly! :lmao:

The Roses(and all)- Pat was telling me recently at work that someone sent a office wide email announcing something to the effect of...."As of April 1st, I will no longer be known as Steve Whatever.....I will be Stacey. That was it....nothing else and then a month later...he/she came back to work as a woman. princess: I guess you just don't expect that in a large corporate, relatively conservative environment. But I guess it had to be dealt with somehow!

Ok-back to work. Have a good one y'all!(Almost time for Paula Deen)

PJ

:cheer2: 38 is great! :cheer2:
(Thanks as always for the countdown, Julie!)

What a great QOTD, CG! I'm totally losing it here, and hubby is away so just the cats & dog here looking at me funny! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I can think of no family history(very cool, BTW), incident (OMG, HGP!), or announcement :lmao: half as interesting or entertaining as you all, (not much exciting ever came out of Czechoslovakia that I know of) but...I got skills. Seriously! I have a stupid human trick with which to impress you all on board. It will be waaay more exciting if we've had a few Bahama Mamas or Conch Koolers or whatever, but I can write mirror image (the same thing backwards and forwards simultaneously). That's it. That's my stupid human trick. Wait till we've had a few and ask me to show you. Oh...and I got juggling skills too. Maybe before the drinks, though! :rotfl:

I just found out last nite when I went to add up my points for the day, that I'm now in a lower points bracket and can only have 22 pts a day, not 24! :faint: (24 was hard enough!)

Church group is at my house tonite so I must spend the day cleaning (yes, the ENTIRE day, trust me) and I've got a ton of typing to do, so I'll try to be a good girl and stay away.

PJ - you know that because of your Power of Suggestion yesterday, I HAD to have a Egg McMuffin this morning! Nothing else would do!

Just got word that Ed will be leaving for Palm Beach on the 1st for a week....and we can't go! His boss usually has no problem with us being there but she is so stressed out right now (she broke down and cried on the phone with him twice this morning in 45 minutes!) that it's a no go.... And the stupid thing is that she is NOW stressed that Ed is leaving in about a month! HA! They were the ones that said they didn't have enough to keep him busy and they would need to let him go from full time employ! Too many things have happened to reverse that decision now! Ed is already working for the company in Old Town - heck, we already got our first check!!! Talk about double dipping!!! WOOHOO!!!

Anyway, moral of my story is that spring break is coming up and we're suck in the cold! WAAAAAHHHH!!! Might try and see if my friend in Clearwater can take in us homeless ones.....aren't we pitiful!?!

Trish! That is cool! I wanna see! I wanna see!

PJ - Don Aslett (donaslett.com or cleanreport.com) but I also recommend Flylady.net for those that can do it! I love Don's cleaning supplies! He's the first one that I saw with a carpet rake instead of using a broom for the black line of crud/stuff along the baseboard! HA! Back to that again!

Good luck everyone with spring cleaning....not for me...just trying to keep up with all this cr*p is enough for me. I'm trying to butter up honey to let me get a housemaid once a week....maybe every two weeks...but he won't have to help around the house anymore! So then he won't have to walk the Pirate Plank! Or is that a carpet 2 x 4?!

PJ and Barb, actually the Queen just pulled out the reciepts for our trip in 2004 (why she keeps these who knows), and duty free in St. Thomas 1 liter of Crown was $15.95, Baileys was $14.95, and Drambuie was $24.95, not bad prices for us to refill with. Also, every so often I make Manhattans with Crown, but I am truely a Crown and Rocks swirled guy.

CG your QOTD:

Well one time at band camp, Just Kidding, well the Roses stole the whole Hermathadite (spelled wrong) thing, I could go with the whole related to Jesse James, or that I used to drive backwards to high school, or I love the Jetsons, or I was voted most likely to win the lottery (still hasn't happened) in high school, how about I love infomercials, no that won't do, maybe that I don't like ice cream. How about I bought myself new underwear for the Queen and my wedding, or I do not like professional photographers, I used to write the Queen love poems, I don't work as hard as I should, or I love stupid movies. This is hard, I have quite a few off beat things about me, but interesting don't know what I can come up with, I might have to get back to you.

SteveMed, True, True, I use the Holiday Inn Express line all the time, as for the tropical drink let me see if I can make a couple for you and Trish (BTW I can not wait to see your trick).

Tom pirate:

you guys are playing dirty! No fair! Those drinks look sooooooo good!

Well, at least I can cyber enjoy them!

Trish welcome to the 22 point club  - I am dreading the 20 point club which is drawing near. But I guess I will welcome it with open arms. I just zapped 8 of my 22 points up with a burger from wendy's as I was speeding around from place to place at lunch. So that on top of the whole milk in my cereal this morning makes Suzie's prediction of a bad hump day a reality. Broccolli for dinner :cool1:

BUT, I scored an over the door shoe thingie from HomeGoods on clearance :teeth:

:rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl2:
You guys are too funny!

I have nothing near as intersting as all of you as far as off-beat about myself-I guess I am pretty boring. The only thing my husband contantly teases me about is that I am a closet Disney Channel "kids shows" fan. I loved Lizzie Mcguire and now I like That's So Raven. I also love all of the Disney Channel Original Movies. I know, I know, these shows are so corny but I must want to relive my youth as I enjoy watching them. DH thinks I am crazy.

Suzie, I am so sorry, here is some for the lady with child.

Yup, me and the kids with our fancy umbrella drinks....

Thanks, Tom! Do you have a tissue so that I can wipe my tears now? Boo-hoo! I'm gonna miss tasting those drinks! Man, that's it! We HAVE to all cruise next year together just so I can have those drinks!

Been there, done that. I was either pregnant or nursing for 6 years. Leonard says I was cheap date and he always had a Designated Driver. (Although I've been his Designated Driver since I was 15, and yes you had to be 16 before you could get a licence.)

As for next year, are you thinking the new repo cruises??

I LOVE 38 Special! Our first "song" was "One in a Million" in high school.
And PLEASE tell me that isn't you Julie at 38 weeks(I am sure it was, the skin tone looks like yours)? You were so cute....I had back fat like nobody's busines, and my arms were as big as a linebacker....

PJ

Are you kidding me??? Do you really think I'd put a picture of my pregnant self out here for everyone to see??? I'm not sure that I even have any pictures of me with child, but I do know one thing, I didn't look that good when I was 1/2 as pregnant as that chick! I just found that picture on the web!!!!

Tom...Thanks for the drinks. If I didn't have to go to work in a few minutes I might try one now.

Suzie...becuase I like you so much I will step up to the plate and try any drink for you .I must warn you that because I am Portuguese it may take me more than one drink to give you a true report. :teeth:

Tux issue resolved- My cousin is going to buy the tux off of me for her son Yeah! I am going to order another one from a different seller. I realized I measured Jared's old jeans to get the pants length and so that was why I was off by one size.

QOTD
I cannot think of anything that interesting about myself at the moment but here is something that always makes other woman cringe. I was induced to deliver my son Jared on his due date ( his sister was 2 weeks late), the doctors thought he was going to be about 8 pounds. He actually weighed 11pounds and I did not have a Csection. He looked like the Jolly Green Giant in the nursery with all the little, or should I say normal sized babies.

CG- I forgot to tell you that last week on the front page of the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle was a picture of a woman from the area that had won one of the keys to the HGTV house.

 :faint:

I hit reality about two weeks ago on it. I am still in for the other cash prizes, though.

But they will be announcing it as we are sailing on the high seas - destination - FUN!!!!!!!

I completely break myself off from everything dream home at about February 17th every year. I completely remove myself from it. It helps with the depression every year :guilty:

Well--Hello all!

I have been watching from the side-lines for a while. Work is so busy! Really nothing to report.. We were toying with a last minute upgrade (we are booked in a Cat 9).. Last year we went for a Cat 6, and loved the balcony, but when I checked on the upgrade (just to a 7 mind you).. it was $900.00.
On one hand.. it's a BALCONY..., on the other hand $900.00 for WIND, is hard to swallow. That's like my whole onboard account total for the week!!!

We-- of course are leaning to stick it out with the Port Hole... :confused3
