Hi CG- I have your check written and sealed. Today-finally I printed postage, so it is going out in our mail today. I apologize for the delay, that is what I do best....(delay..)

Speaking of delay-supposed to be doing a million other things besides this right now, but I hurt my back this weekend(sneezing of all things :lmao: ) and my laptop is conveniently located in the chair where my heating pad is.... So every so often I will sit down and relax before moving on to my next activity. HG is coming home early today-some big announcement at work and he needs to be in place so he can update stuff. How's that for detailed info-that's all I got too!

It is beautiful here again today-supposed to be 80! But then like 35 on Friday and Saturday. What gives? I know this is spring- but all the way back to 35???

CG- about WW- I have done WW a million times, and it works. I know the million times isn't exactly comforting to know. I am an admitted WW flunkie! I self destruct after about 5lbs, cause I get frustrated that I haven't actually lost anything. I only have about 15 lbs total to lose and it is slow-it is progress, but slow. Just keep going to meetings- they are VERY motivating. It always happens that I skip 1, then gain a few lbs and am too ashamed to go back until I get that weight gone(which is, if you are following my pattern, never!)

The one thing you should look into is their CORE program. This is the program where you don't count points you just have an acceptable foods list and you can eat anything on it until you are satisfied. It is not like Atkins or South Beach(well I guess like the very late stages of Lifetime maintenance) but you can eat high quality grains, fruits, veggies, lean meat and low fat dairy. You also get 35 flex points to use on anything you want(read: wine) over th course of the week! This is the plan where I was most successful. Good luck!

I am still humming along on my little homemade plan but guess what- I had 2 glasses of wine last night and would you believe that my weight went up a pound??? I think I have the key for me...but check back in a few days-I am sure to have self destructed again by then.... :lmao:

Ok- off to take thousands of pictures where I will throw out at least 980 of them....arghhh. But the good news is the website is within 2 weeks of being done! YAY

Have a great day all!
PJ

Suzie , My Mom is a huge rodeo fan. I am going to do a search for her to see if there is any rodeo's in the Vegas area when they go. 8 Seconds was one of my all time favorates. I have not scene Beyond the Bull , never heard of it , which channel is it on?

It's on TLC on Thursday night, 10 pm. It's really been cool to see behind the scenes and get to know these three guys in the personal lives, too.

CG - I have an order, too. I tried to forward the PM to you but your box is full. I suggested to Tricia and Tom/Julie they switch their bracelets. The smalls are right for Tom/Julie and their mediums would be great for Tricia. Don't know if this was worked out but since they had what the other wanted, seemed like a good idea.

Sorry I've been a bit off the boards lately. Feel like a ton of things to do but there really isn't anything more than what I normally do. Not sure what's up but will try to be more active.

Try to PM me again cause that post just confused the crap out of me. Julie PM'd me an order, is that now wrong and needs to be adjusted? Do I just ignore Trish's ask for 2 mediums? :confused3

Sorry guys, I've been away too...this past weekend was the school auction which took up all of Fri nite, and Sat from 10 am to 11 pm between decorating and the actual auction:crazy2: but it was fun. We only do 2 fundraisers a year (pvt school) and this is our biggest and I cashiered during the auction (which is good, because then I don't really have time to bid on the live auction stuff [read: big bucks] stuff. Sunday we actually had family time for once which is amazing.

I did stop in late Fri and compose a LOOOOONG post with answering the QOTD and catching up, but I hit a wrong key or something and lost it! :badpc: I know this happened to you before PJ and I now feel your pain. It was late & I didn't have the strength to redo it. So let me try to get up to speed:

QOTD (short version) DH was a cook and I was a waitress at Denny's. One day I hurt my foot and he finally asked me out that night! I couldnt walk, so he surprised me by bringing crutches. the rest is history and we've been very happily married 12 years! Can't remember the rest of the questions, but there it is in a nutshell. Wish he was going so you all could meet him...he's got a very dry and very funny sense of humor and would fit right in!

CONGRATULATIONS!! to Meghan and Ben!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce: I am very impressed! and congrats to moms & dads for raising kids who put their heart into their goals (I admire this in kids SOOO much!).

PJ--sorry for the sitch in your neighborhood. It is unfortunate, yet fascinating what parents will NOT do to help their kids learn self-control and manners. Last Aug Emma & I went to DL by train and lots of kids were completely unruly, no boundaries at all. (watch, now mine will be that way on the cruise, lol!--they know better, though!) Can't wait to ck out the website!!

CG--You know I'm doing WW and I love it. I'm the type that doesnt say much in the meetings, a little touchy-feely for me, but I do appreciate the support and knowing that any one of those people would understand me if I did finally speak up. Going to them helps me stay on track but I pretty much go every other week. Daily exercise is what's helping me right now. Getting good eating tips from you all here, though...thanks!

Barb--So impressed with your remodeling. DH is in the DE-construction business, so not much construction going on here, lol.

Tom & Julie--As you've seen, I DO have 2 smalls to trade for 2 mediums if that's still available. Let me know. Sorry to not PM this as Suzie suggested DAYS ago, but I gotta get DS to guitar lessons, so I'm compressing my DIS time here! Just let me know!

I've missed you all this wknd. Lots of finalizing in the ressie dept today: rental car, before & after hotels...Suzie I will PM you about the 'before' nite!

Be back later... :wave2: (Gotta update my ticker--down 1.2 last wk, but that's what I was doing when I messed up my last post, so I won't try it now!)

Sorry I havent keeped in touch. Im just finishing up on a writting 122 argumentive class, and I have two papers to write. :badpc: . How fun, and next week is finals. :confused3

In the wrist band order, Emmy is so tiny not sure, Danie I could see her wearing a med, As for me Im not so sure. so heres my order
2large, 3med, 1smal/ The ones that dont fit, will go in our scrapbook.
thanks so much for doing this

I do have a question for anyone who has cruised before. When I made reservation for palos, the only thing avail is friday night, but I would like to try for thursday. When embarking can reservation be change or be put on a waiting list. Also, I was reading somewhere that there is some kind of campout for the kids, I hope so. I would like to have an evening alone with my husband.

As soon as I figure out how to add pics, I'll put one up of my girls.

Since I'm a newbee to the board, I dont know how to access your yahoo email. to send payment.

Suziemva will send you a private message about it. ulittletinker, I think you may be right in your latest order.

Guys, I have to abdicate the wrist band ordering this go round to someone else. I feel very bad since I screwed up the first go round and mketting hasn't been here to voice her order for some more, but I just can't do it this time around.

I will provide whoever wants to step up with the ordering info, the latest spreadsheet of orders, and everything you need.

rubysmom, I think you will need to order 2 more mediums for them. I think Julie is going to keep hers.

CG, I would be happy to step up & take care of this round of orders--my email is on the other site or you can pm me. You have done so much for all of us already!! It's my turn to give back as they say.

Thanks Trish - I will get you all the info tomorrow plus a primer on ordering.

I bet you guys have been wondering where I've been....not having as much fun as all of you by the looks of it. Work has taken over my life since my co-worker is in Boston. I also made another trip to Santa Cruz this weekend to be with family. I've put 1,100 miles on my new car in the last three weeks and I only drive 3 miles to work each day :car: .

The weather around here has been crazy. I guess California has sent the spring like temperatures east. We've had nothing but rain, sleet, hail AND snow :confused3 . The Santa Cruz mountains were a winter wonderland this weekend. The white stuff even stuck. It was beautiful, but cold. Its still cold and still raining.

:welcome: :welcome: to Ulittletinker. This is a great bunch of pirate:  :firefight :dancer: :drinking1 princess: party: :boat: :sail: . So glad :yay: you've joined us. And your kids will fit right into all the age groups.

Suzie, how scary that accident must have been for you. I was on my way to Santa Cruz when I had to detour because of a 28 car pile up in the ice and snow just north of the Golden Gate bridge. Glad I wasn't a part of that. We're not used to icy conditions in this neck of the woods.

CG, I mailed you a check today. Thanks for all your work. Glad Trish has stepped up to the plate to take some stress off of your shoulders. You did a great job. Thanks, Trish for stepping in.

As to neighbors, last summer 2 brothers (18 and 20) bought the house behind me with a trust fund their inherited from their mom. Let me tell you it was a nighmare every weekend. They have a pool so come Thursday night the party was on till the wee hours of the morning. I called the police so many times at 3 and 4 in the am that I didn't even have to say which house. The music blaring wasn't so bad. It was when the fights broke out and you heard lots of screaming, breaking furniture and bottles being thrown that finally got to the neighborhood. We all (about 10 households) got together and contacted the trustee of their trust and threaten a lawsuit. The parties stopped when the trustee threatened to pull their monthly income. Hopefully, when the weather gets nice it won't start up again. I'm all for a good party, but there is a limit :furious:

CG, weightwatchers is great. I've been gone so haven't been able to go to the meetings on Saturdays....but, I'll be back at it come this weekend. Plan to get back to Curves also :yay: :yay:

Pat, I never thought of those smilies as jumping-jacks (exercise style) just more of jumping-for-joy type things. They're cute! I will always see them that way now. :yay: :yay:

Suzie, I'm glad you're safe too! Did you ever find out about the other car?

A month back or so we had a bad crash kitty-corner from our house on the main road which is a downhill. Long story but this young wife/mom who was once loving & healthy became very unstable mentally, started with believing there were people living in her attic. Then lost her 4 yo in a car crash--she was driving. Looking back, it sounds like that first one was a probable suicide attempt w/her son along with her. Anyway after that, she got worse, and finally decided to try it again on our hill and plowed into a ford escape coming up the hill, bounced off of it flying thru the air and sideswiped a suburban, followed by a subaru wagon, and finally a telephone pole, which is what did her in. No one else was critically injured thank God.(the subaru driver did have to go to the hospital, though). Car parts went flying everywhere and it's a miracle no pedestrians or people in the houses that line that road were hurt! Anyway, this all happened when DH & I were home and we heard the whole thing (an awful sound!), spent the next 3 hrs or so on the scene with the victims. It was horrific and such an awful tragedy. From the history, it sounds like she was really a nice girl and just got really sick mentally. She had been admitted to a mental hosp after the first crash, but not 'locked up', so she 'escaped' and tried again. So sad. Her mom, brother & his son showed up on the scene when we were still there. It was awful. The kind of thing, like you said, that makes you thankful for every day and makes you realize just how good you have it in life.

That's pretty heavy for this late at night...sorry!

:cheer2: PAT!!!!!!!! - You've been missed!!!!

OK - today I go to my first WW meeting - thanks everyone for your thoughts on WW. I knew a lot of you were doing it. I also figured out why this is suddenly happening to me (and today it's even worse - I swear the pounds are just magically appearing over night). I just stopped nursing a few weeks ago. My body took those weeks to readjust my metabolism and it screwed me. This is just awful!!! :guilty: I am really depressed. I haven't gained any weight from my post pregnancy weight loss with my son, through my pregnancy with Catrina, till now. It's freaking me out!

mom2cobysyd - I just saw your new photos on Yahoo - they are soo cute! I love the Cinderella one! You and I really need to get in more family photos, though.

CG- you are not going to believe this- I was logging on to post this as well! I was on HG's computer and I couldn't remember my logon! I printed mine out so when I go to the bank, I can get the appropriate denominations.

I am getting so excited, Kate and I are going to Costco today to get the soft sided cooler on wheels so HGP can bring his mobile bar with him!

Welcome to all newbies, and welcome back Pat!

Good Morning everyone

This next week or 2 is going to be fun , I have started my Spring cleaning , in fact i was up till 12:00 cleaning which is the best time for me since the girls are sleeping. I really get into it once I get started , I am working on the first floor right now , windows , screens , nicknack's , lighting and such . I take everything down wash it and put it back . I would love the repaint since my girls hands are all over the walls but Idon't see that happening right now.
I will start on the 2nd floor today or tomorrow. I just can't wait to get outside and start cleaning that up . We really should paint the house this year , I think in the Spring after the cruise. My daffodils are popping out but I think they will be in for a shock since we are getting 4 inches of snow again tomorrow. It has been beautiful here the past few days , and Suzie I know it was warm down there , my DH called and said it was in the upper 70's in MD.yesterday!

I can't believe we are only 6 weeks away , I am looking forward to tomorrow so I can say 5 weeks 6 days :sunny:.

Pat , you can keep that weather out your way!!!!
I am really looking forward to this  :woohoo: :yay: :boat: :jumping1:

Yup - it's getting pretty hard to concentrate on anything but plans. I printed mine too to do the same thing - if I had a loser smilie I would post it here for the two of us. It's not like I can't count and figure out I needed two $50 bills to get to $100 - DUHHHH - but, yeah, I will be using it to get my bills so I don't screw it up.

Ooo, good one Ohso - I was just off looking for a mental siesta photo for today.

How's this one? I know it's something I plan on doing as often as possible:
