Thanks CG , I actually fit into a dress I haven't worn in years . I really want to wear it for formal night but I have a feeling if I gain even 1 pound it won't fit. It is a shorter style coctail dress and I LOVE it! I am heading back to bed again , all we are doing here is sleeping, yup, we still have this darn flu. Good night everyone :cloud9:

I hope everyone does as well with the BL !! I'm quite sure I'll gain much of it back after the 2nd day on vacation :)

 Been bugging SteveMed to send me the address for this Discussion Board but he's been very busy shopping for a Speedo for the cruise. I'm really glad that Belle and Rella's mom or dad has taken over the job of SteveMed's fan club. He's lost 22 pounds and it's just getting to be too much to handle around here.

My family of 4 is one family out of 25 people in our group going on 4/29 and everything here in RI revolves around this cruise. We've been having cruise meets here too. We can't wait!!!

Wondering if anyone out there may have a teenager to introduce to my almost 15 year old son to. He's the only one in our group with no one his age. He is a freshman in a private catholic High School here in RI. A really good kid. Silly, goofy, sometimes a typical teen, but good. He's really into the Disney scene!

Only 4 more weeks and counting...hope to hear from someone soon!

Sue aka (rieggman's wife)

Happy Monday, everyone!

Welcome back, CG, missed ya! I feel your pain on that weekend splurge, but no giving up! I know you won't! Besides, you enjoyed yourself and it tasted wonderful, right? (love the anniv pic...so cute)

Congrats to April and Tim, and to Nikki and Bryan! Happy Anniversary to you all!

Ohso, you are my hero! I need some inspiration after my last weigh-in, so tag you're it. It's all about the points this week for me. I've got the exercise figured out, now for the points. I hope you're feeling better soon!

Nikki, the park hours spreadsheet looks great!

WELCOME RIEGGMAN!
Any friend of the banana hammock guru is a friend of ours! I've got 12 yos in my group but does he turn 15 before the cruise? There's a new hangout on the ship now just for 10-14 yos called Ocean Quest. If he fits age-wise, there's handful of kids in our group who'll likely be spending time in there.

Time to get to work! :surfweb:

It's that time of year - spring weddings. My husband and I will celebrate our anniversary two days before the cruise.

Hi Sue, my son will be 14 in June so he's sort of close to your son's age. This will be his first time in the teen group and he's really looking forward to it. He's a typical teen - goofy at times.

I haven't checked out the Yahoo site for a while so I'll have to do that.

Have a good day everyone!

Lisa

:welcome: :welcome: Rieggmans Wife. Can't wait to get to know your whole group. If any of you are like Stevemed, we should have a good time.

I have a 15 year old nephew coming with us. He'll be 16 in May.

Trish...tell me more about Ocean Quest! The two 10 year olds in our group are fourth graders and have just turned 10 (Lindsey in January and Madelyn will in April) so I'm not sure that I would want them hanging out with 14 year old eighth graders! Plus it would mean ditching the two 9 year olds in our group...still though I am curious about this new hangout.

Welcome to rieggman & Sue!!! Can't wait to see what the eggman looks like in his banana hammock!!!!! :rotfl2:

Didn't expect to hear from all of you so quickly. Usually I'm not home, but I have nothing better to do than sit here in front of the computer with a box of Kleenex on one side of me and a glass of ice water on the other. I feel like a Nyquil commercial.

Ethan turns 15 on June 4th so he'll be a month shy on the cruise, but he mixes well with kids of all ages. He's pretty entertaining. He's very interested in writing to someone so he has someone to look forward to finding when he gets on the ship. Steve mentioned a Canadian couple with someone his age. Know who they are?

Thanks for getting back to me. I'll have to get Steve back on this. I think he's been slacking. All he does is work out. He wants to look good in that banana hammock you know.

Thanks and have a great day! Sue :teacher:

Hello everyone!

Rieggman - Welcome to the DIS! I have a 13 yr. old son, let me know if your son would like to e-mail him and I will send the address to you.

Trish - Great job with the spreadsheet - Man, you have been paying attention! One small change - my nieces are now 13, 8 and 5. Time does fly!

CG - Water, Water, Water!! If you drink a ton today it may help with the weigh-in! Good-luck - it is sooo motivating to see losses at the scale each week.

Jewelgrrl - Congratulations! 10 Years!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: Ahh, it seems like just yesterday we were celebrating our 10th, but we hit 20 years last October! And we still like each other!

OHSO - great job with the weight loss! I am sure that with all of the running around at the parks you won't gain any back before the cruise.

OHJulie :wave2:

I got a call from the Palo people today and my family got the large Palo room for Brunch on Monday and dinner on Wed. :cool1: :cool1:

Woa - so much to catch up on and I was just off reading trip reports and actually working today.

rieggman - hmmmmm :scratchin There's gotta be a story behind that screen name :hyper:  Is your husband a fireman too?

Well, onto business at hand
welcome to our thread, welcome to our thread, welcome, welcome, welcome - welcome to our thread!!!!! (you are soooooo lucky you can't hear me signing that  )

Thanks Rubysmom , This darn cold is kicking our butts , it is the kind where you are fine for an hour then all you want to do is sleep after that. I'm no hero , but thank you , I feel awful because I have not been to the gym since Thursday , but I think I would collapse if i tried to go now.

Ojulie , Good point , I'm sure we will be walking all day long with the girls . I'm not sure who is going to be more excited , the girls or me. I'm actually surprised on how much DH is getting into this. He talks about it almost everyday , that makes me sooooo happy to see he is excited . He is such a one key type guy , never mad , never overly excited , but this time it's different !

Mketting , Congrats , That's awesome !!!! :cheer2:

Reiggman , Welcome aboard , the more the Merrier. Like everyone has said SteveMed is a great guy so I'm sure if you are in his group it will be a blast to have you along!

CG , now that I'm up for another maybe hour or so I had time to go back and read a few posts . I also want to Congratulate you on the extra 2 pounds . 2 pounds is lot when you really think about it . When I lose 5 pounds i take a 5 pound weight and I just can't believe how much that actually is !

I'm going to make the girls dinner , then probably crash again . I wish Barry was home :sad1: , it is so hard to do this by myself when I'm feeling like this, the girls really are not feeling much better either. That just makes me feel like such a bad Mom. Mom's are not suppose to get sick !!!

mketting, that is awesome!!! I have been meaning to call them now that it is close to 30 days as they called to tell me that they were reducing my request of seating 15 to a seating of 14. I just wanted to confirm with them that that would be OK. We'l do a roll call for who wants to do this again when I hear whether we got it or not.

So for everyone who is waiting to hear about a DIS meet brunch at Palo, I will let you all know if I got a call today or not when I get home.

Too funny, CG! I had just caught up to Ohso's post and wanted to see what was going on with the group's Palo brunch so, like a good girl, I did a search on "palo brunch" and your NEW post showed up on the search. Timing is everything, I guess!

Michelle, that is cool! Your group will really enjoy that, I'm sure. I don't have notes on this, lol, so have to ask, are they DCL vets or will Palo be new to them? If so, EVEN BETTER!

Ohso, you do what you need to do, and don't feel bad about it! Even moms need TLC sometimes! DH is finally coming home tomorrow evening after 10 days away and I'm so ready for some help. Hats off to parents who have to do this every day!! For the first few days when he's gone, I appreciate the time 'to myself' (even w/the kids), but very soon I miss him and all the ways he helps out. Altogether now, "Awwww!"
(All you pirate: 's wipe that smug grin off yer face! ;) )

Boogerschnotts - I just called home and the answering machine didn't pick up right away so that means there is no message waiting for me. :guilty:

well, now there is because I just messed around trying to retrieve the earlier message from them. I have no clue when it comes to retrieving massages. My answering machine is like my own personal VCR blinking light hell. I have no idea how to retrieve massages and I am lucky to be able to delete them when they come in. I am so inept when it comes to that damn thing on the wall. :guilty: I own a complete home theater system that takes a freakin rocket scientist to figure out, I have a programmable remote control that you can program macros into and I can handle that. But when it comes to my damn answering machine, you'd think I was grunting and scratching my armpits still while bouncing around on hunched up legs. Ennnnhhhhh. :guilty: Oh well.

I just spent an obscene amount of money at Targey on travel sized items. I mean obscene. What was I thinking???? :confused3 They have those HUGE ziplocs on sale right now if anyone is interested. They also have terry cloth beach hats in the dollar spot.

Now that my family has the palo banquet room our other reservations for Palo were cancelled. Maybe they put them back in the inventory so for those of you still hoping to get palo maybe you should try again now. We had separate reservations for Brunch for a party 4 and a partyof 2 on Monday and also reservations for dinner for 4 and 2 on Wednsday for dinner.

Sue :teacher:

That's us, that's us :cheer2:

I had contacted Steve before to see if there was a teen in his group. He said there was, but I can't remember if he sent the address to me or not. Things have been really crazy around here so I could be the one that dropped that ball. I'm trying to catch up on all the posts from today, and then I will PM you.

Barb

QOTD- How many of you are making door signs? I made them for each of the families in our group. They are not as fancy as some I have seen but I think cute. Each one has the same border and says SINGLETON FAMILY CRUISE. Each one then has the names of the people in the cabin beside a picture of the Disney Character that person most resembles. My sister and I had fun figuring out who each person reminded us of. My favorite sign is for my parents. My Dad is big and Jolly Sully form Monsters Inc. and my mom is miss prissy Daisy Duck all dolled up.

Its a beautiful day here, the entire street is outside riding bikes. My kids are not going to be happy they have got to go to swim practice now, see you all later!!
