The authors will be on our cruise too celebrating their 10th year of publishing the series.

I really like their WDW books too. It's a nice layout with lots of room to write and use as a planner, with ratings, maps, pockets for stuff, etc. It reminds me of a Franklin Covey planner if Mickey had designed it.

I booked directly with DCL. I'll let you know. I talked with a CM last week and he said to expect the docs 2 weeks out, but nothing in there except the luggage tags that you have to have.

I ordered a PassPorter from amazon and being a newbie didn't know there are many editions. Got a 1st edition. Cruise prices and trends from 2003 At least the ships layout is the same. Let us know when you get the new edition, I might try to grab it before we go.

Thanks for the invite. Is anyone staying in Port canaveral the night before. we are staying at the radisson. It is cheaper to stay in a hotel the night before and get free parking then to pay for parking at the port. Also has anyone booked any shore excursions. sorry for all the questions being a late comer have to get the scoop. LOL. We are going to book with White Squal II in tortola to go the baths and and snorkeling.

4 weeks sounds a little better than 28 days - less numbers and definitely better than all those seconds

I worked on my fe gifts last night. And I'm always planning what clothes to wear.

We also booked directly thru DCL. It will be interesting to see who gets their docs first.

Great, We usually always have an early dinner (about 4) at a place called Grills on the water. So we can watch any ships leaving port on Friday. They go by about 5. Let me know if you would like to go and we can make some arrangements.

I posted a while ago about a rocket launch.... looking at the NASA site, they moved it from Friday April 24 to another date. Bummer.... that would have just added to the excitement.

We'll be staying at the Radisson, too. Booked on the 10:30am shuttle to the ship

Is grills right on the water by the ships? That sounds fun! I was thinking we'd have to go to the beach/park to watch. Hmmmmm.

UPDATE: I jumped into the April 18 thread and several folks got their cruise docs on March 20. That'd be TODAY, March 27 on our timeline! Here's some pixie dust for those checking their mailboxes today!

The Radisson and the Residence Inn are next to each other and about about a mile from Grills which is on the waterway. Next to Grills is a boat ramp and a local park. Lots of the locals go there to wave bon voyage to the ships going out to the ocean.
There is a website for Grills, I think it is www.Grills.com. The prices are reasonable and the food is good They have sandwiches and lots of seafood stuff.
So anyone in the area if you want to go just meet at Grills at 4. Be sure to tell the hostess you are with a group going on the Magic so you can locate us.
