4/25/09 Magic - First Visit To Tortola!

The girls and I are mostly packed and I even have DH cleaning out his closet and taking inventory

Ft Wilderness has a restaurant called "Trails End" it is the most reasonable of Disney restaurants. You can make ressies by phone if staying off property. It is buffet style ribs chiken (western style) and costs about 18 for adults 15 for children and includes drinks (non alcoholic) After dinner you can mosey down to the beach area (short walk) and watch the fireworks and water parade (the parade is about 10) you will need to check guest services what time the fireworks are. As you go thru the main gate parking area ask the CM how to get to Ft Wilderness. find a parking space and head over to the bus stop (can't miss it there are usually lots of buses.) wait for a bus that says Orange, Yellow or purple settlement just tell the bus driver you are going to Trails End and he will tell you when to get off (it is the last stop before heading back to parking area). When ready to leave just reverse -- go to bus stop catch bus get off and find car. (remember to make a note where you parked) You can go to www.disney.com and search for restaurants if you want to see the menu You can also catch a bus at downtown disney that will take you to the bus station at ft wilderness then catch one of the buses mentioned above

Well I made the T shirts, It was not easy for me, but I did it DH says he will wear his so I guess I will wear mine too. You can tell it was a novice that made them. At least they fit.

Speaking of t-shirts, I designed one for DH and he didn't like it so any of you are free to use it:

I winded up designing both of our shirts (one DH finally approved of) yesterday! Yay! We'll be wearing them on the first day for our sailing photo and the group photo!

How on earth do you all create these designs? They are awesome! I'm lucky if I make a nice powerpoint presentation for work and here you are all grand artists.

My DW is a nut for getting to the terminal as early as possible...9am on several occassions from WDW. Once we had to ride around so this time she is really early!!! Actually...19 days is when we leave for Florida. OKW here we come!

Glad to see another Charlottean (Sunburnin) on board and "Howdy!" LocustPoint as we will be neighbors.

We thought about hopping on the FE earlier but never got our act together to sign up. However...we will post a DVC Member Cruise magnet and others on our door (7570).

I better get crackin' on the Pirate Night gear. I have our OT catalog so let me see what I can dig up.

Uh-oh...formal night is going to be a bother. More planning and packing.

Still haven't gotten my cruise docs yet but I booked through a travel agent.

Dot - Thanks! Sorry, I haven't seen any Dumbos. I found the graphic from the Cruise Graphic thread and then just put the lettering using Adobe Photoshop. Bev toy has some great graphics here:

amy2girls - you do not have to be home, at least we didn't. I thought I had ordered a disney cruise planning video or something.
Of course our UPS guy comes about 9:00 on some nights and he never rings the door bell. Our docs were in an envelope inside a white bubble wrap type envelope.

I hope you get them soon.

We didn't have to be home either - but we live in an apartment so the UPS guy just left a note on our door and delivered our docs to the office. Our docs were in an envelope inside of a white plastic envelope also.

I got my cruise docs!! You can't imagine how excited I was when the UPS truck pulled up. As I mentioned before, I booked through a TA (DU to be exact).

Hope everyone else gets theirs soon too! This cruise is really happening!!

We got our cruise documents yesterday and we booked through DU also.

I haven't packed a thing, have only 1 FE gift completed, will be reusing some magnets from our last trip and need to make a few more...good thing I'm not a last minute person It'll happen, I work well under pressure I'll have a few days off this week and will get right to it. I've never had much luck with t-shirts though...I think I need a better printer or something. The colors always seem off, so I don't think we'll do t-shirts.

Anyway, the excitement is building.....Everyone have a magical day!
