4/25/09 Magic - First Visit To Tortola!

We didn't have many room participate on our last cruise, but it was so much fun! I can't wait to start working on this one :)

Ginia

Flights are booked on Southwest  , and yes, $$$$$$.:scared1:

We are going down to Florida a few days earlier :cloud9: and plan on going to Universal Studios. Has anyone gone down early before, and if yes, how did you get to the port? :scared: I asked DVC and they have the Magical Express, but I guess because I am staying on site (plan on staying at Disney property) they want $70 per person. :sad2: Where as I guess if you go from airport back to airport it is free.:confused3

Any suggestions?

We have Thanksgiving coming up which leads to Christmas which leads to the excursions to open up! :teacher: And then, sorry, basically nothing after than except countdown to April 25, because there are no holidays in between!:rolleyes1

But then again, this board will be hopping with chatter!:wizard:

Quick question, what is the first day for us to book the excursions?

164 days and counting!!

Let me know if I left anyone out and for those of you who have info missing please let me know so I can fill it in. We just need to know how many people are in the room, their ages and male or female in order to make the fish extender gifts more appropriate...and to know how many to bring.

The gifts can be for the adults and/or the children

For those who think it is time consuming it really only takes up as much time as you want it to. It depends on how much effort you want to put in to making/buying the gifts. Delivering the gifts only takes a couple minutes at the end of the day. We spread our gifts out throughout the cruise and did one floor each night. I also know from reading trip reports that children usually find it fun to deliver the gifts and I had a great time walking around the ship and seeing everyone's fabulous fish extenders and their decorated cabin doors.

Still haven't research the fish extenders, but please add us:

No cabin # yet. I have a cat 12 GTY. But as it turns out this may turn into the cruise I'm not taking. Please leave me on the list for the time being, I will let the group know if I do cancel. Traveling alone, so one adult female.

On the plus side I'm taking advantage of the current WDW 4 plus three deal and going in Jan.

With the economy in the tank, we decided to cancel our cruise and have a more economical vacation.

Have a great cruise everyone. We hope you enjoy Tortola as much as wed did a few years ago.

Dan & Debbie

That's too bad. I'm sure you won't be the last.

On my side, it's the dollar...Every cent it drops adds another hundred bucks to our trip.

On a brighter note, i noticed your signature Sharon...If your 2006 cruise was a birthday cruise, is this one too???

But as the dollar drops gas gets cheaper so it all balances out for us Canadians in the end anyway

You must be one of those glass half full type people  ...lol

I did fill up for under 80 cents last night...I don't remember gas being that low in ages. Now at least we can hope for a day (just one in January) where the dollar is back at par and gas is 1.35.

It has been months since I have been here. I got a lot of reading and catching up to do. Just bought airline tickets, so I am getting in the vacation mode. It was hard for me earlier.

Amy2girls - I don't know where in NH you live, but we ended up getting tickets on southwest leaving from Bradley airport in CT. The price was half of what it is now in Manchester. It was less than 300 dollars per person roundtrip.

Hi Paula - Hows the family? Haven't seen you since the BYPC Dance show.

Just keeping in touch with the Granite staters

Hi everyone! It has been ages since I have posted! It looks like everyone is getting in the spirit despite the horrible economy... I too was checking Southwest for airfare, I hope they run a special!!!

We too are in for the fish extender thingy, LOL! We are in Room 7010
Diane (41) John (43) Josh (14) Justin (11).

Hi Paula & Bill! Hope everything is well with all of the kids, I can't wait to see them! I know the kids are all still texting and myspacin', I just thank god we have unlimited texting LOL!. Josh & Kaitlin are forever texting and Justin cannot wait to hang out with Timmy. I just created a photo album of the 2007 cruise at snapfish.com (oprah had a free album offer) and the kids look so young! I can just imagine them all now! Josh is 6'1" and 160 lbs... like you said teenagers:eek:

Please let me know if anyone is trying to group up at dinner. Last time we were all scattered. We have the late seating once again.

See, I get on here and don't shut up! Oh...LUV the flag! Great work
