4/20/2008, April 20, 2008 - Anyone with us?

Bumping off of page 4! :scared1:

I wonder when this thread will catch on. I am sure there are more people out there than just US booked on this cruise.

Hi, we are first time cruisers and chose DCL after watching the Travel Channel and lots of research looking at other cruise lines and reviews. DCL looks outstanding and we just can't wait to go. It is just my DH and myself, booked a Cat 12 so we are hoping for an upgrade. We are traveling with another couple and linked with them for our dinner rotation, but they booked a Cat 6 so hoping to be close to them or get an upgrade. Not sure which excursions to take yet in Nassau. Any suggestions would be most helpful. Thanks:banana:

Hi Everyone,

This will be our first Disney cruise and we are excited. Going with are my husband, and our 2 girls (7,4). Our friends are also going have 2 boys (7,2) and my sisters/family are going have two girls (2,3).

We cant wait!!

Hi all,
My hubby and I will be sailing with you this April! This will be our 2nd DCL cruise. We did the 3 night as part of our honeymoon 5 years ago. Shortly thereafter my extended family had a reunion on a Carnival ship and we vowed NEVER AGAIN! We're Disney all the way!

We have a 3 year old DS and a 7 month old DS, but we will be sailing by ourselves (oh, the guilt :guilty: ). We're celebrating because DH will have just returned from his deployment in the middle east. I know the boys don't really understand what they'll be missing, but I still feel bad and I'm already getting anxious about leaving the baby - I've never been away from him! But we took the boys to Disneyland this summer, and plan on taking them to WDW next year, so hopefully we'll be forgiven!

Hi everyone!

I just booked my airfare yesterday on SW. Now it's more "real"!!!!

Nope, it's just us!!!!!!:lmao:

Hi Mommykds! Funny - I booked my airfare on Southwest yesterday too!
:woohoo:

I have been reading the Passporter Cruise guide..very helpful for planning the cruise. After the holidays I have to get some proper cruise wear!!!

bumping us up.

We just had our first snow, yesterday :scared: Just a dusting.

Looking forward to April. We just changed our plans slightly. We are flying in Sat. pm and will be staying in Orlando overnight. We will take a towncar or DCL bus Sunday morning.

DD11 (almost 12 at cruise) and DD 14 are looking for others their age to meet up with.

My DS will be 12 in June. He likes meeting new kids. Maybe we can get them to e-mail each before the cruise.

We just got rain down here on the south shore. It did snow last week, but nothing stuck.

I am hoping for a snow-free winter. But I pretty much guaranteed it by getting my kids snowpants. LOL

As you all know, we are driving. Gas may be $4/gallon by April, but it will still be cheaper than airfare x's 5, plus ground transportation. we are actually leaving Wednesday April16th, driving to Vero Beach until Sunday, the driving up to the port.

Ok...... I am so ready for this cruise to get here!! We've had three snowstorms in the past week and there is well over 2 feet of the stuff on my back deck. I think the grill is out there somewhere, but it's buried. At this rate I won't be able to find it until Memorial Day!

On a brighter note.......

Happy Holidays everyone! :santa:

Just wanted to wish all my fellow cruisers....

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!!!

bumping!!!!!!!! Now that the holidays are over its time to start thinking about our CRUISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1:  :cloud9: :woohoo: :yay:

Whoo hoo! I got a package in the mail yesterday from my TA with cruise and excursion info in it! Anyone else get their packets? I can't believe we're almost into double digits! Almost time to book excursions, etc. So, what's everyone going to book?

Since this is our first cruise, we are going to check out everything we can that is offered on board. So no excursions for us. I would like to book Palo brunch for Dh & I.

This will be our first Disney Cruise. I have two girls ages 7 and 10 and they are so looking forward to going. Any ideas on excursions would be greatly appreciated.

Just so you know...... if you're not able to book brunch online, make sure you get to the port early so you can try to get a brunch ressie once you board. Since there is only one day they do brunch, on a 4 night, the online ressies can go pretty quickly.

Oh I am glad I mentioned it then, I wasn't aware you could book online. I booked my cruise with a TA, can I still book online with Disney directly? Thanks!

Even though you booked through a TA, you can still book excursions, Palo, etc. online. You will need your DCL reservation number to retrieve your reservation. The reason I mentioned being on board early if you can't get a ressie online is, since this is your first DCL cruise you won't be able to book anything until 75 days out, and paid in full (if you're staying in a suite you can book starting yesterday, Jan 6). Since concierge guests can book at 105 days out and Castaway Club guests can book at 90 days, some ressies are difficult to get online, at the 75 day mark. They do hold back a lot of ressies to be booked onboard, so getting there early is your best chance. Even if you don't get exactly what you want, they do keep a waiting list, and people cancel all the time.

For anyone planning on staying at the Radisson, the night before our cruise....

I just found out that the local high school prom is being held there that night (4/19). When we stayed there last April the prom was the night we stayed and it was pretty noisy until around 1:00am or so.
