Welcome Lori! :welcome:

obobber....someone posted the temps about 10 (?) or so pages ago 50's to 70's once we hit the high seas/get closer to europe I think ...so you are right ...need a little more clothing or at least a sweater. CCay of course will still be a warm 80 or so (I hope) :cloud9:

Now my son...doesnt know its cold until you tell him it is... he'd wear shorts anyway

Ok so I am glad it is not only my son - he is 12 (13 on cruise) and we are starting to pack and all he wants to take is his athletic shorts to wear and we are having discussions why this will NOT happen. He claims he is hot all the time. I am letting him take 4 pairs of nice shorts and ONE pair of athletic shorts for the sports court.

We have snow on the ground right now and if I would let him he would sled in shorts!

Parasailing at CC - anyone done this? Is it really really great? I am thinking of giving this to my hubby as a birthday gift (his birthday is on Friday before we board).

Also is their a weight limit for this? I did not see anything on the description.

Welcome!
I called DCL yesterday to get my flight info and they told that it would be ready on Feb 8, but that I would have to call and it would not be on the website.

We got our flight information via an email from our travel agent on 12/24/2009. We booked through Disney. They emailed it again to me 2/2/2010. The info isn't on the DCL website yet.

My mother and her husband will also be joining us on this cruise. We're leaving our DS(17) and DD(20) at home alone for 2 weeks. :scared1:

I have started buying summer clothes for my DGD 8. She has already worn a sundress (with a sweater) to school (her mother refuses to argue chothes with her). She HATES socks! So, it's crocks-with no socks! And we also have just a bit of leftover snow on the ground in places! KIDS! Gotta love 'em!

I would really like to do this, too. But I'm not in the best shape (round and broken). :rotfl2: I'm not sure I could do it with my bad knees. Anyway, I think I read somewhere the weight limit was maybe 350-375. Great b-day gift!

I got this for DH's birthday in 2008. He loved it! I'm signed up to do it myself on this cruise, but I may have to cancel to save some $$. I'm still contemplating it.

I'm pretty sure they do have a weight limit, but I don't recall what the number was.

My mom is disabled and mobility is a real issue for her. She did parasailing in Key West last time and LOVED it. It was amazing. She too had concearns bc her legs are really bad. She did not have any trouble though at all.

When people were posting they had received flight info, I emailed my TA. She was able to get the info for me. She didn't send it automatically. But I have it-received on 12/28. No reminder. Is your TA Dreams Unlimited or someone else?

Thanks! That makes me feel better. My DD wants to do it, too, so I guess I'll wait until next year when we go on the Dream. My DGD says, "NO WAY!" :scared1:

Hi, everyone! Took me forever to catch up with all the posts on the 2 threads for this sail date. My DH and I will be on this cruise also.

Kristi, I just had to comment on your last post. I own a bookstore and my employee and I agreed that every freak in the tri-parish area came in today! Is there a full moon out or what?

Lori

Glad to know it isn't just us. :rotfl:

I'm baaaaaaaaaaack!

And so is Monica (Mishoe01). We booked this morning! Waiting to see if my SIL is joining us.

Just did a quick glance on page one. Do you still need bodies for a Palo brunch group? Give a should if you do (I'll also review activities and PM appropriate people as necessary).

Will catch up on the thread this weekend....just couldn't resist popping in on my lunch break.

Love the logo and door signs!

I don't have an internet-enabled phone, but I do use my phone as my watch, alarm clock, etc. Someone said you could remove the sim card and still use the other applications without danger. Does anyone know if that's right?

OK, I apologize for introducing cute sayings to the thread, but really.......My 3 year-old dgs was feeling forlorn today so I said, "Do you have a hug for Grandma?" He replied, "There aren't any hugs in mine body. Me gave them all away".

Pretty cute. I love it before they start speaking standard English. One more? Do you insist? We were looking at a family group photo taken before he was born. He noticed he wasn't in it, then noticed a cousin he doesn't know and said that that must be him when he was taller and had blond hair!

It seems as if removing the sim card would work but I have no idea. We bought a small glow in the dark alarm clock we bring and cheap watches. I just dont even want to take a chance.

Very cute stories. DD 4 is just like that! I sware I could write a book!

Sorry for the double post - so you can mail postcards from CC. What's the attraction of doing that? Do they have a cute stamp-canceling thing? Do you use USA stamps? Thanks.

Now we need a catchy name for our group! Yvette?
I have to think more about this because right now i only get something like Gibraltar on our own, but that is just not catchy enough!!!

Parasailing is awesome we did it once on CC and loved it!!!!!
I don't know of any weight restrictions.
It's going to be an awesome birthday gift so go ahead and book!!

I think that almost everybody can do this even when you have some health issues.
You need to walk down the ramp and you need to take a bigger step into the boat.
To go up you just sit down and you don't have to do anything, the parasail will lift you up.
Then when you come down you just hit the deck and then you walk a few steps, there is no hit on your knees, it goes very very smoothly.
so i think you can just go ahead and book it, or just talk on the ship with the castmembers that run the excursion deck and book it with them.

I've been sleepy all day at work today. So I'm resorting to drink coke and eating Dove chocolate. :thumbsup2

Anyway, you know how Dove has those messages inside the wrapper? I got one I thought was rather appropriate.

"You cannot discover new oceans unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore"

Just think 6 days straight of losing sight of the shore! :cloud9:
