Wow that is a lot of questions for so early in the morning.
We get off the boat, DD and DDF will do do excursions DW and I will not. In the past most of our excursions have been cancelled.
I will spend a little time in the water depending on the heat factor. And I most likely will wander around. DW will do serenity Bay and I will do lunch with her there.
In the past I have done both all day on the island and hop on and off.

We have gotten off the boat every time
We have done the stingrays encounter, glass bottom boat, always bike, float and snorkle, parasailed.
We do go in the water (my son more than me)
We are family beach
BBQ for sure
All Day on island

This cruise's CCay plans....DS- Wild side Me- cabana massage - Us - Watercraft JetSki scheduled (although I may save this for the Dream cruise in 2011 -warmer weather)

Is anyone else thinking of taking in the Aquarium in Barcelona?

My son and I are going to aquarium for sure...taking the hop on hop off buses...not the Disney excursion so we can take our time.

We do get off the boat.
We generally only ride bikes, we haven't done any other shore excursion.
In the past, we have gotten in the water; however, I'm not so sure about doing so in April (brr! I think I've been living in FL too long...or just long enough...if I think that's cold).
Family Beach - DD5 hates the beach with a burning passion, and always has - except for Castaway Cay, which she just loves. Now that's magic!

We usually do most of the day on the island, although last time we went it got cold and less than nice out. We did tough it out, thinking we'd be bored back on the boat, only to find out that they'd been having (previously unplanned) activities on the boat because so many people returned, and I wished we'd gone back. So, if it comes down to weather being an issue (ok, so I'm using my Floridian definition for that), I won't think twice about going back on the boat. Of course, I'm spoiled rotten by living 15 minutes from the beach and an hour from Disney World, so I won't feel quite so bad for missing time on the island. If we lived up north, I'd be the first off the boat and the last on the boat, no matter the weather.

no excursions
only if the temperature is warm enough will I get in the water more than up to my knees

This is completely off topic but I have to ask.

Please send kind thoughts to my friend Jolie and Adrian. Her husband is very ill with Congestive Heart Failure. It basically could be any time or six months from now, but the doctor said Adrian will not be getting better. I'm hoping for the six months or more.

I've already put my work supervisors on alert that I will be out the door when I get the call. They live 8 hours from me.

My biggest fear is that he will pass while I'm on the cruise and I won't be able to be there for her.

Yes! We stay until they kick us off!

We did sting rays once. Probably would never do it again. The experience was "ok" but we can feed them at Sea World for $3. We save parasailing for Key West...$35 each, amazing experience and my 4yo can do it!

Yes! I wish it did not have so much seaweed though. Yuck!

Do you get off the boat?

Absolutely! Last time we were picked to be the "Castaway Cay Family of the Day" and were the first ones off the boat. In fact we had the entire island to ourselves.........for about 8 minutes (and then they opened the gates for everyone). It did give us a head start to the beach and was a fun experience!
This time, we'll be ready to get off as soon as it opens. Much of the cruise is in cold waters, we want to take advantage of every minute of warm carribbean sunshine!

DF,DM,DH, and DD4 are doing the glass bottom boat. I'm doing the Stingray Adventure with dd7.

What could be better than floating around in the blue water in the warm sunshine!

We get off the boat everytime but one - that was when my hubby had his gallbladder attack and I could not bring myself to go out and enjoy the day while he was in pain in the cabin even though he told me to go.

my son and hubby have done the sting rays once, we rented bikes once and took out the tricycles once

Oh yes - at least till some big fish comes up next to me!

what is Serenity Bay??? Just kidding, but have only been to the family beach - hopefully on this cruise we can go over for a little bit but daughter now goes to the teen beach and unless my son finds someone to play with I do not want to leave my son by himself (he is 12) so it may not happen on this cruise either - this is family time for us since hubby is in Iraq most of the year.

Joi, I discovered if you "hover" your pointer over one that you like, you can sometimes click on it to be taken to that website so you can make one. (I can't do that with mine-don't know why. Maybe I didn't cut/paste the right one.) Anyway, after you make one go up to the top of the page in the red bar, on the left it says User CP (control panel). Click that and then edit your signature. Put the link to your ticker in there. You may have to use the yellow square with the mountain thingie on the toolbar -it's been a while, can you tell? Preview to make sure it works. It usually takes me a while to figure it out - every time! Hope I've at least pointed you in the right direction and you can figure it out from there. And you're right, they countdown automatically.

It started on the wonder bc one of the cruise staff started it. It then continued on the Magic. DH loved running around the island, especially with no people out there. They will take your name and stateroom number and they will deliver a nice certificate your room later that day. It is a nice little souvenier.

Linda, the reason your counter is not a link is because you saved it as an image instead of saving it as a link. The web site allows you to do both.

Joi, you can use http://www.magicalkingdoms.com/timers/stepone/vacation.html to create the ticker (there are other sites, you can Google Disney Vacation Countdown). When you are done creating your counter, copy the code in the BBCode box and paste it into your signature (in the User CP / Edit Signature).
