We are going early August and have 1 night booked at RPH which gives us 2 days of FOTL. We have 3 day passes and would like to use up our last day when we are staying at Disney.

My question is: Which rides/attractions/park should we save for the last day when we don't have FOTL? I am guessing large loading shows or play areas? We will try to arrive early at opening and leave by 4pm.

This is our first time visiting since they started to charge for Express. My DS3 is 40inches tall so we will have to do some swapping.

Any advice would be great. :flower3:

With 2 days of FOTL, you should be able to experience all the rides wth no problem. That way, on the 3rd day, you will know which rides you will want to try again, or avoid....And then on the third day, take the time to look at all the shops too - there are some great little shops inside the parks that shouldn't be missed!!

save the shows for last...Horror makeup show and beetlejuice can fit a bunch of people

After 2 days you'll know what favorites you like.

Here's the thing, in the summer time, the parks open early but don't tell anyone. They open at 08:30am, sometimes 08:15am. Since you're driving up, you want to leave Disney at 07:15am and arrive the parking garage before they even open.

If you do this, you can go on all the rides with no wait for a couple hours. It's 11am when the "heard" shows up. By then you can do shows you missed or eat a 2 hour lunch at Mythos.

ChrisJo-Thanks for the shopping idea. I have to tell myself to slow down this trip and start saving $ for all the stuff we will be buying.

Jillybeene76-Thanks for the specific show ideas. Is the Beetlejuice show indoors(air conditioned)? If not, which shows are. By the time we hit the shows the parks will be packed and hot!

Robvia- We will set our alarm clock for 6am and have quick breakfast in the car on the way. As for Mythos(in my dreams) I would be lucky if my 3yr old can sit thru a 30minute meal.

If we do have to line up for some rides, which ones have indoor air-conditioned quere(spelling)?

Robvia,

I tried to pm you but b/c I'm a newbie I got a pm error. You said to ask so I'm asking. Please email me your plan of attack for US/IOA and Disney. My email which I just created for this is univstudy2@yahoo.ca. Thanks for your help for a first timer.

Hi,

Attack plans are subjective depending on what you want to do.
I made a web site a couple years ago which is here.
Attack Plan
It's funny seeing what I wrote 2 years ago, back then they still had express passes.

In 2005, Shrek used to have 2 hour waits, today it doesn't since they have 2 buildings for it. Still, the line for Shrek and Jimmy Neutron can be over an hour because both attractions are at the front of the park. Attractions at the entrance usually have long lines.

The main thing I keep telling everyone is to arrive early. I can't stress that enough. It's very easy to lose track of time, run late at the hotel, forget something, and before you know it, you're arriving at 9:30am with everyone else. I even made a web site comparing what happens when you show up early versus showing up at 11am.
Arrive Early
