3D Dessert Party Questions (Epcot)

i have been trying to read up on the 3D Dessert party at Epcot and figure out what to expect that night. I came across an old review (2010) where the poster mentioned the special viewing area. it sounded like it is the same spot that the wristbands from the Chase Lounge have access to. so it made me realize i have a few questions about the whole event!

1. can someone tell me if the Illuminations viewing locations are different for a party ticket holder and a Chase wristband wearer? (i ask because the special viewing area is part of the reason we purchased the dessert party tickets and frankly i don't want to share with people who didn't pay for the privilege. i know, so snobby ). i've read that the Chase viewing area is between 2 gift shops in future world (is that correct?). i read that the 3D dessert viewing is also between those gift shops. does anyone who has been this year know where the 3D Dessert viewing area is for illuminations?

2. where do we pick up our event tickets? the festival center?

3. we can only pick up the tickets the day of the event right?

4. do we line up outside the WS events pavillion near UK?

5. we have general seating; do you think lining up around 7pm for the 8pm show is too early, just right, or too late in order to grab a table?

6. dress code? i don't want to look like a slob, but we'll be coming straight from MK and won't have time to run back to the resort to change.

You don't need a ticket, they have your name on a list. Just bring your ADR confirmation # just in case.

To absolutely ensure a table, you need to line up quite a bit before the event opens (it's just one time so I wasn't sure what you meant by "the 8 PM show"). There are intentionally not enough tables for the # of guests - it's really meant to be more of a cocktail party type atmosphere. We like to have a seat though, so we arrived early last year - I'm sorry I can't remember exactly what time.

Last year the viewing was in between the gift shops, I don't know about this year. I consider the fireworks viewing to be not a big deal. It was nice, but definitely not what you are paying for. You are paying for all the free desserts and drinks at the party.
