395 days of planning all lead up to this! Sept/Oct 2012

Just changed our CRT reservation from lunch to supper. It's now at 4:15. Plenty of time to do what we want during the day and then supper will be done in plenty of time before WISHES. This is the night we plan to stake out a good spot to watch the Fireworks show!

Also, added Cole's 15th birthday celebration to our 'OHANA reservation and my own birthday celebration (29x3 lol) to our CRT dinner!

Both great choices! CRT is a lot of fun! We also have 'Ohana booked for October. My daughter will be celebrating her 13th birthday! :thumbsup2

Well done. Love tweaking the plans to make them work better! And hopefully they will make a big deal out of yours and Cole's Birthdays!! Love celebrating at Disney!!

YAY!!! I'm excited for you guys! That's not too far at all! :)
I bet the postcard was way cute!
It won't be long now!!!:)

So totally cute! I will take a picture of it when I remember. It's on our fridge right now cause MICKEY sent it! lol

I hope you're right with sticking with September! I REALLY thought mid November would be safe for fantasy land. I wish they would be more specific with "holidays".
Back to school can be a holiday! :rotfl:

Oh well. I'll be bummed, but my mom won't know the difference so at least she'll be happy! Haha

I saw the media lady is smoking crack. I dislike her.

I'm just gonna think positive about it opening end of Sept! Yeah I don't think it will bother my kids too much if it's not open since I'm the only one who knows all about it.

Thanks! That's awesome! :) I just can't wait for this trip!

I'm definitely having a blast planning this trip. pixiedust: So much fun. And since I haven't been there in 18 years I just....I wanna....WHY CAN'T IT BE TIME TO GO YET???? :rotfl2:

Yay for ongoing planning! :goodvibes It's so much fun planning/changing, hey? I'd love to see the Mickey mail - very sweet ::yes::

We finally found a decent price for our flights (thank goodness for Kayak for telling me the price had dropped LOL) - so I think I am actually convinced that we're really going! :cool1:

I think I've decided to drive to Minneapolis.

Flights here have gone up so that almost ALL 4 airline options are $3000 for the 4 of us!!!!

Yes I can fly with Sun Country (and get the exact hours I want) and it's $1600!!! So the extra can be used on the tank of gas each way and hotel. Plus then we get a little trip to Mall Of America. And it would still be less than $3000!

I'll try and remind myself to take a picture of it later! :surfweb:

Wowsers, flying out of Canada is stupid expensive! We fly out of Seattle - the savings are more than worth the 2+ hour drive! Our preferred flights finally dropped (45+%!), so we're flying direct :cool1:

Awesome deal on the Sun Country! Which airline does that use? Yay for the trip to Mall of America - I'll bet that will be awesome! It'll be like starting your vacation with a mini-vacation!!

I'd love to see a picture :goodvibes

Hmmm I have no idea. From what I can tell Sun Country is just it's own airline based in Minneapolis.

I love Mall of America. And then I could take the kids to the Disney Store to grab a few things and clothes are cheaper in the US than up here.

The front is yellow and says "GREETINGS FROM THE GANG" and has a cartoon picture of the Fab 5!

That's too cute! I bet Ava was so excited!! That truly screams Disney magic!! I wish Mickey would send me a postcard! haha :)

That's a great card!

I think it's cool that Mickey uses Pixar stamps and not stamps of himself or of the fab five.

She was. I'm sure she'd like to take it to school but since it's for all of them I said no. I don't want to risk it getting damaged or lost. We're gonna put it in our scrapbook! :)

heehee True. That would have just been a little tacky! ;)

Happy Mother's Day, Heather!

Thank you!!! pixiedust: Same to you! :) :woohoo:

Finally getting around to reading and subbing all the PTR's on the FB group! You're my first stop, haha! I love all your planning, and I can't wait to see how your first trip goes!

You sound like me, only it's even more dangerous, because in addition to the online store, I have a Disney Store, a Disney Outlet, and a Disney Theme Park outlet all within driving distance!! As much as my husband loves Disney, he isn't as thrilled with my shopping excursions, HAHAHA!!

Yay thanks for stopping here first! :) I'm having a blast planning this trip so far! I just want time to speed up....but then I want to enjoy summer.

lol If I had a Disney Store or Outlet near me it would be dangerous!!! And I'm very jealous that you do!!! lol Poor husband. There are worse things you could be wanting to spend money on though...so I say it's all good! :thumbsup2

Hi Heather, stopping by your PTR from the FB group! Loving it! You have a beautiful family!!! I cant wait to hear what your kids think of it all, its so magical to expereince it all with them!

Thank you and thank you! :)

Everytime I think about walking up to the Magic Kingdom I get teary eyed. I'm just so excited to go I could explode! pixiedust:

:jumping1:

OMGOSH I am so excited today!!

Yesterday I found the BEST flight! As you've seen flights from Manitoba are ridiculous! Right now for the 4 of us I was looking at $3000 at LEAST if we flew out of Winnipeg.

WELL....I found a great flight on Delta Air Lines out of Minneapolis yesterday! ONLY $1638.40 (that's with tax INCLUDED!)

pixiedust:

So this morning I excitedly called Disney and gave them my flight information so they could add it to Disney's Magical Express!

:banana::cool1::thumbsup2:woohoo:

I may be more than just a little excited! :rotfl2:

We also found a great deal at the Best Western in Eagan, Minnesota (really close to the airport and Mall of America..less than 15 minutes) where if we book a suite (and we DID!) our parking at the hotel was unlimited during our trip! And the lady MIS QUOTED me the price. She said $129 plus tax. Turns out it SHOULD have been $169 but they are honoring the price she gave me through the reservation center.

So we booked a suite on the 28th (2 queen beds - 1 for my parents, 1 for me and my daughter, and a sofa bed for the boys to share). We're gonna hit up Mall of America and hen go to sleep.

Our flight is at 9:00am on the 29th and we'll get to Orlando by 1:13pm!

And then on the way home our flight isn't until 2:10pm and we get to Minneapolis by 4:45.

We're gonna check in to the same hotel and head to Mall of America again. Then the next morning we'll start the drive back to Manitoba.

I'm definitely stopping at Albertsville first though! Clothes are so awesome and affordable there!

I'm so happy today! :cloud9:
