Just wanted to share...
HotelKingdom.com has some great rates on this property right now. I booked the bi-level for our Easter Break.

Executive Studio Suite $37.97 $37.97 25% off!*
Studio Family Suite $46.41 $46.41 25% off!*
Bi-Level Family Suite $58.22 $58.22 25% off!*

Here's why I booked...

1) Two floors, two TV's, two bathrooms...
2) Free Breakfast
3) On a lake with activities
4) AAA 3 diamond
5) $58 a night
6) Million dollar renovations

If I chicken out towards the end, I'll only loose $10 but this really seams like a steal considering on the Mainstay & Orbitz sites these rooms are going for $100 for the 1 bedroom.

Here is another link

Hope it helps someone

Nope! The only thing is you have to leave a deposit, but if you cancel you get it all back except fot $10.00, that's their cancelation fee!

I had never heard of Hotel Kingdom until I read this post. I need a room for one night in between a week at the DTD Hilton and a week at OKW so I am definately going to use this company. Thanks for the tip.
I checked out your hotel and the virtual tour. Let us all know what the rooms were like, they looked really nice in the photos.

I just used HotelKingdom for the first time for this weekends stay. I couldn't believe the great deals on that site.
How is that Main stay Inn? I have never heard of it, is it far from the parks?

Cheryl,
They say they are about 4 miles from the parks. I checked old reviews from when it was the Best Western and everyone posted that it was close to everything and driving was a breeze.

The only negative review I read was someone who was staying there during their extensive renovations, paint flying, noisy, pool closed...

Someone over on the Orlando board is staying there for a week on Oct. 18 so they will post everything as soon as they get back!

We just got back from a stay there. We were there 4 nights, from the 9th- checked out yesterday. It was nice. The room (we just had the studio suite) was a little "tight" but comfy/clean/pleasant! Definitely MORE than worth the $40/night!!! Slept all 6 of us with 2 full size beds and a pull out couch. "Full" kitchen. Big fridge, oven, dishwasher, microwave, dishes for 6. If you plan to do a lot of cooking, you may want to consider bringing a couple of pots with you, though. We didn't get out to the water, did the pool one night. The kids loved the pool, hubby and I would have loved to use the spa, but there was a group of about 6 in there already with their cigs and beer, and didn't look like they were moving to make way for anyone else any time soon. So after an hour and a half we gave up the wait. They have continental breakfast, waffles/bagels/muffins/toast/cereal. The weekend was quite crowded, you may want to make sure you hit it early. We had a good stay, the employees are great. Right now I am getting ready to take a look again at how the things worked with hotelkingdom, though. I'm not exactly sure it worked the way I thought it was supposed to.

wow, sounds like a deal! I need a place for a couple of days in nov. maybe I'll check it out. thanks!!!:sunny:

Thanks for the post Xplor!

Can you tell us how long it took to get to the parks and what directions you took? Thanks so much! The distance is one of my concerns.

I found a recently renovated Mainstay Suites Orlando on
Hwy 192. Is that it or is there another one?
Thanks

Hmmm- I don't know about Disney, we did Universal this weekend. The hotel is on 192, and the exit for Disney was before where we were going. It was only a few minutes to get to Universal- I mean, about 10. They do have a shuttle to Disney from the hotel. I don't remember what the times were- but I think there were 3 in the morning and then 3 coming back in the evening. I know when we came in- we were coming from the North on 4 and got off on 535 to 192. It was just a mile or so down on the right. The sign was not lit, and it was hard to see at night- but when we hit Capones, I knew we had gone too far! When we would leave in the morning- get on 535 and there were signs pretty quickly for Disney. Like I said- it took us about 10 minutes to get to Universal- but it can take much longer if you don't pay attention to which way you want to go on 4 coming out....LOL Even the kids noticed..."hey- we didn't pass this stuff on the way there!"

this is a must check out thanks. Only staying in DW for 4 days 3 nights so this could fill out the rest of the trip. :earseek: :smooth:

Shortbun, that sounds like the one. The exact address of the one we are talking about is 4786 West Irlo Bronson Highway Kissimmee, Florida. Hope that hepls!

Lol, Explor, that happens to us evben when we stay on site. We always seem to end up at AK, have no clue why:confused:

So over all Explor you enjoyed this place and would say it's worth the money? Thanks!

Yup! In fact, I'm trying to convince hubby to take a quick 1 niter back down there when my brother is there in Nov. I would "splurge" and get the bi-level suite this time though!LOL

We made our reservations for February for this hotel! Looks like a nice place and pretty inexpensive too! I've used HotelKingdom before and I found their downpayment, ect. kind of confusing too. But they have good deals and I didn't have any problems with them.

I finally pulled it out and figured out where the discrepancy was. Hotelkingdom told me the room rate was $41.34/night for 4 nights and total tax was $17.64.
Then they went on to say there was a $2.75 resort fee that would be added at the hotel. I figured out the tax on that also. They charged me a down payment of $18.36. After that, the total due should have been $176.96 (with the resort fee). Well.... at the hotel, the resort fee ended up being $3.95 and there was a $1 fee for the safe (that we didn't use, so I didn't even know we were paying a fee for it. Had I known, I would have used it rather than "hiding" the extra money!) Anyway- I ended up paying $186.84 so it ended up being $10 more than what I was told. I guess that isn't "too bad"- but I am a little frustrated that there was more than a dollars difference for that "resort fee". I'm not even sure what that means anyway!!!! I made my reservations 3 days before we left, so I would like to think that in my confirmation email, they would have had the correct resort fee.....

The last time we used HotelKingdom was at Star Island and when we checked out the desk person didn't have any idea we used HotelKingdom, just what we owed on the bill. So with all the "extra" charges it could be very easy to get confused! I guess for 10 bucks I wouldn't worry about it. But we're staying there for 14 days and that's 14 bucks extra just for a safe?:earseek:

I just got my confirmation E-mail and it states that there is now a $5.55 per day resort fee added on to this hotel. That's an extra $77.70 for our two weeks stay.:( But it's still a pretty good deal I guess.:D

Well, I figured with all the taxes and the resort fees, I will be paying $70 a night for the bi-level Easter week. I feel that is a pretty great deal...

I am thinking the 3 breakfasts, separate sleeping areas for the three of us (have a 15 year old DS), kitchen, newly renovated...$70 a night including everything is pretty decent!

I was looking at suites before this one came up and most were like $70 a night for the one room suite, no dividers even:eek:

So, for us this works!!:sunny: :sunny:

Yeah- it was a buck a day for the safe. I don't know if you can ask not to have to pay- if you don't use it. It definitely wasn't worth "arguing" over $4. $14....maybe LOL
