.

Yay on the new car is right! Why haven't I had an automatic opening hatch or trunk for my whole life? I'm liking the being spoiled!

I haven't told DH about the no elevators. I'm hoping that as it feels (to me) that the rooms are a bit more private, that he'll forgive me. Eventually. Of course, if he hates it, that just clears me for more solo trips, so it's really a win-win situation!

I put the room charge on the credit card so that I can start paying it off in Canadian dollars, rather than charging it once we arrive. And my park pass arrived today by courier! I know it's just automatically selected, but it does seem funny that DH got Minnie, and I got Mickey several days later. Maybe that means I wear the Disney pants in the family

Haha the Disney pants! I do too so that's funny!!

We drove..and had all the fun things likeep an ice chest and the room decorations so ann didn't have to put them in her suitcase. I was an.. unexpected surprise... to realize we then had to cart everything up and back down haha.

So I thought I'd try to ease DH into the World of Disney, and not overwhelm him, by having a little trip discussion. I asked him which colour of magic band he would like, expecting his response to be "blue" or "I don't care", but he automatically picked purple. I started explaining how purple is not an option right now, although there have been rumours for several months regarding purple magic bands. Imagine his expression as he turned slowly to me, and said "Rumours? You mean you actually talk to other people about things like colours of Magic Bands, and you all think you're normal?" As you can see, I have a long way to go with this fellow!

Aw man, of course they always pick a color they can't have. Well he CAN, but it's a bit of a pain in the patoot to have it! Clearly he doesn't understand the importance of topics we discuss here, like colors of magic bands! My DH was so frustrating to talk Disney with for a long time, but he is finally coming around. The other day he even installed the MDE app on his phone and exclaimed " I can't believe there's a 45 min wait for IASM right now!" So there is hope yet!

Better late then never I am here!!!

I'm lucky my husbands cousin is as crazy about Disney as me.... The rest of the family just laughs at us....

Normal is relative and this is my normal!

Thank you for coming over! :welcome:

I'm taking lots of deep breaths, humming happy Disney tunes, and imagining that the trip will go well. I am thinking that the first few days will be evening park hours for DH, and I will play it by ear. I am thinking that the best park for him will be Animal Kingdom, so that is the plan for day 3. I hope to have some preliminary plans worked out soon, to get some opinions from all you fine folks.

If it makes you feel any better, my DH was so annoyed when I told him we were going in 2012. He mostly went because my mom was sick and requested it. Well fast forward 3 years we have been back 2 times and have a trip in a few weeks! I just made sure to play to things I knew he would like. Band in England, now I always make sure we see them at least once a trip. He loves buzz it's a must do, etc.

You've got this you know him, play to what he loves!

Welcome! It's not too exciting over here, as it turns out I'm as boring in DisLife as in Real Life, but I'm excited to take the plunge once again, and bring DH with me for part of this trip. Plus, it makes the next 2 staycation weeks more bearable, and I can stop looking for miracle last minute deals.

Oh how I'd love to have 2 weeks off just waiting for a deal. And that's all. Just sitting waiting. LOL!

I can sure be here when I can come up for a breath of air. :)

I thought I remembered reading somewhere that you were having a birthday soon. I have no idea what day it is, or was if its already passed, but wanted to swing by and say :bday:!

I"m thinking you're right about just keeping it simple for dinner. It's gonna feel REALLy late, and you're going to be really tired from the Pre-Disney Vacation Mandatory All-Nighter. I know how that goes very well! Hopefully you won't have to get your luggage, and can be on your way super quickly though! Looking good so far!

So I think I saw above some wishes are in order today! :bday:

Day 1 (travel day) and day 2 plans all look good!!!

I think easing him in is the way to go if you over do it, chances are that may backfire!
