.........................

I'm going on 30 and I like sufficient...:D

I assume you are flat broke if you have the nice things- if not and you have "sufficient" money in the bank when you have the nice things- that would be what I went for. If you have nice things and NO money in the bank then I would prefer the $$ in the bank over the things.

well Im 31 and I would take sufficient over anything!!

I dont need the nicest of thing but I would love to have a nice cushion! ;)

I'll hang with sufficient, as long as I can spend BUNDLES of $ going to WDW:teeth:

Hang on...that IS my life;)

Well I vote for the really nice everything cause you never know when your time is up! What good does money in the bank do you once your gone, and especially thinking about the situation in the world today we could all be gone tomorrow. Besides if I needed loads of money for something I could always sell my really nice things.

Now the only exception to that is money saved for my child's future education.

I go for sufficient and I'm in my 30's. I know people who have nice "everything" , flat broke and they are miserable!

I prefer sufficient. But I'm missing the lots of money in the bank. We do have money in mutual funds though.

I'm in my mid 20s and I would rather have sufficient of everything and then money in the bank. I hate the feeling of being "on the edge"

the way I look at it now in mid 30's is if I buy it on credit, loan, payment plan, etc I don't really own it until it's paid off
therefore we pay cash for just about everything except mortgage & cars (but my minivan is paid off & husbands jeep only has 3 more payments till we own that) yes we could buy newer cars or lease but that it is not for us
yes we could have better or more furniture but we have no debt for what we have
we leave quite comfortablely & really don't want for anything
we do not spend excessively and cut back where we can
I clip coupons and really hit good sales at stores. I hate to pay full price.
We are quite satisfied with sufficient because if its on credit I don't feel I own it anyways.
Money in the bank makes me feel alot better and saves DH & I from a lot of arguements we had when we younger and further in debt. We learned from our mistakes

I think that having material possesions that are within your means and having some savings is the best way to go.

I wouldn't want to have really nice stuff that I owed tons of money on, and have no money in the bank. I'd rather have the nicest stuff I could afford within my means, balanced with money in the bank.

I think the problem with younger people today is that they think that their first house should be liked the one they lived in with Mom and Dad, forgetting that Mom and Dad worked all their lives and worked up to that house...it wasn't the first one they ever bought.

My DH is a realtor and is always amazed at the number of young couples who think their first home should be a 4 bedroom 2 1/2 bath colonial, they have $30,000 worth of consumer credit debt, they are driving $40,000 cars, and can't understand why no one will give them a mortgage for the big house that they can't afford!

I would go for the sufficient with $$ in the bank and I'm only 26

Wow! All you "youngin's" need to come and talk to the youngin's where I work!!! LOL

Another vote for sufficient.

Money, or lack there of, is one of the reasons for a lot of divorces.

Where's a tag fairy when you need one!!! :teeth:

Sufficient money in the bank for me too. My dd and her husband are more into the "finer" things. She sure didn't get it from us. I think she inherited that trait from her mother (dh's ex-wife) and grandmother.
