$31,369.28

I believe you may have misinterpreted MND's post.
I feel he was saying that the cost of the Cat R during the summer is close to his annual salary.
At least that was my read. :confused3
:goodvibes

Oh, yes, okay. My apologies MND. It happens sometimes. :thumbsup2 Sorry.

Well that explains the price increases for these cabins.
Everyone sits in these tubs with the heaters cranked and the ship therefore can't go as fast. You guys are sucking all the power. :lmao:

Thanks a lot. :rotfl2:

But thanks for potentially subsidizing may fare though. ;)

;) I'll sound stuck up, I would have liked it hotter. The girls still take about this trip like it was yesterday,

Careful....Please..... no apologies ever necessary. Well, at least to my posts.
That was only my opinion remember. ;)
Your intuition doesn't make you wrong. In fact I always lean to my instinct.

I was only presenting a dissenting view I noticed between the lines. :goodvibes

That's the best part, talking about the special memories with your loved ones. My DD and I were just talking about our special times on these ships about 5 min. ago. :cloud9: She took her first trip at age 6 and we just celebrated her 18th birthday on the ship 2 weeks ago.

Even with the temp low in the tub? :rotfl2:
Sorry, how old were these girls? :lmao:
Were they related?

Funny, You freaked me out posting in the middle of this delicate time. :rotfl:

I read it all wrong initially and you would have lol if you saw how long it took me to come about and grasp your topic. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

$31,369.28? exactly what I have spent on Disney to the penny......except I got 14 cruises out of it.........
I think I like mine better. ;)

OK, wow, you can see where my mind is. :rotfl2:

And how some can interpret posts differently. :scared1:

It's all relative.

Sorry if that was out of line jlemieu1. :)

First class passage on the Titanic cost the equivalent of 17 years wages of an average crewman on the ship.

Some people live in a house that cost $70k and some live in a house that cost $700k. Why is the cost for this suite a surprise?

I can think of a lot of other ways to spend money right now but maybe some day, after I have all the toys I want.....

No worries, I wish I could convey a better joking attitude over my message. I was just razing you back :) :cool1:

i dont even know how to respond to someone dropping $31,000 for this room on a cruise. im just going to leave it at that.

DBF and I joked that the Royal rooms would be the only way we could get his parents on a Disney cruise. For them the private hot tub would be the sell.

I think it would be better though if it slept more. We can travel with a group of up to 15 (more now with the new babies) and with other cruise lines these types if rooms can fit more people.

They typically do Seaborn cruises though not DCL.

i would assume lotsa of extra for the concierge...
We've stayed in the Roy Suite and a 1 bed room suite. We felt the concierge did a great job but no different in the Roy then the other suite and tipped the same on both.

Ok, I'm used to seeing some steep prices on the DCL page...but this one actually made my eyes bug out a bit.

7 night Eastern Carribbean Concierge Royal Suite with Verandah.

This is not in my reality. I bet those people never, ever leave their room!!!

We didn't even spent that for 48 people at Disney World for a week with dining.

i'd like to see what the recommended tipping is like for this cabin...

To quote a famous golfing judge "How about a Fresca?"
That is what they tip :cool1:

All kidding aside. The suggested tips are not based on your cabin type they are based on the number of people in your cabin. But you do have an extra tip to the Concierge CM's. So mathatically they pay less as a precentage of their fare as tips. I guess I'm an evil 1%'er of the cruise world :rotfl2:

ps. I would never book a Cat R during peak season because they are more than 50% higher than non-peak season.

It really all is perspective. The CEO of Walmart will make enough to pay for that cruise before lunch today. To pay for my more pedestrian cat 4 or 5 takes my wife and I upwards of a week and a half of gross pay.
