30th birthday dinner?

I am debating on Napa Rose, Goofy's Kitchen, or a Downtown Disney restaurant for my 30th b-day.

I like the elegant style of Napa Rose, but I love the idea of a character dinner! Also DtD seems like a cool place to eat. Maybe Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen?

Maybe it depends on what you want to get out of the dinner? Are you looking for a romantic atmosphere or a jumping good time?

I ask this, because I have been able to experience both. I wore my birthday button both during nice sit-down meals, and during character meals (at WDW, not DL...so not at the resturants you listed) and I had such an awesome time with the characters.

Personally, DH and I could have a romantic b-day dinner here at home. BUT we aren't able to do the character thing! So we take advantage of the love they give to b-day people! We are still kids at heart and love just having fun!

Which ever you choose though, I know you will have a wonderful celebration!

I agree. They are both great but you can't get the character experience at home. I would probably go with the character meal! I like crazy Disney birthdays though!

I agree with Az, the crazier the better. Go for Goofy's for your birthday and wear a big birthday button!!

Well, I decided to narrow it down to Goofy's or Napa Rose if we can get a seat at the kitchen/bar thingy. I'd love to watch the chefs cook.

But I agree about the character thing. When else would I be able to celebrate my b-day with Goofy, not counting DH! LOL

I celebrated my birthday at Goofy's Kitchen in December (and I'm in my mid-40s!) I had a great time and the characters were very attentive. They gave me a birthday pin, balloons, and fancy cupcake. Belle and Alice signed the tablecloth for me. It was a blast!
