Really nervous and excited before our 30 day window opened about 2 weeks ago. But i wanted to post to let others know of my experience if it will help anyone. Staying off-site, while saving a lot of money puts you behind in fastpass availability. So here are my tips.
Log on before the 7:00 window, one morning i waited until 6:58 and the website had a query of a 3 minute wait.
The date you are waiting for never appeared at 7, i always had to go back to start our fastpass selection over to refresh our date.
When I was choosing 7DMT it was taking about 10 seconds and then the dreaded oops i was locked out of the page without booking any fastpasses.
When going back in of course 7DMT were all gone. I went back in the app on my phone 20 minutes later and was able to modify my fastpass selection to book this ride for 5:45, so keep checking back!
So I was able to book everything we wanted. Our sons are in their 20's so all the thrill rides were a must . I was not expecting to be able to book 7DMT or Rivers of Light but i was able to get both after originally booking a different selection and going back in on my phone and modifying my selection. I am sure being there 2 weeks after Easter had a lot to do with the availability of selections. I read these boards everyday for tips and tricks and thank you all for my Disney knowledge!!
