Our first park day is 5/14. Counting backwards from May 14 it puts our 30 day window tomorrow. Is it 30 days exactly or is it the date range ? Today is April 14 so could I make them today?

It is exactly 30 days-- so your booking window should open at midnight tonight. You will be able to book FP+ for length of your tickets (10 days max) Make sure your tickets are linked in your MDE account, otherwise you cannot book them.

Belle is correct. I usually cheat and lo-ok at Kenny the Pirate's site on the crowd calendar for your month he has when the 60 and 30 day marks are

I'm not sure this is correct, you may want to check MesaBoy's link.
I have AP, so it may work differently for a finite ticket, but when I'm not staying onsite and have a 30 day window, it's 30 days for each day. So I can make FPs for May 14 tonight, May 15 tomorrow night, etc....

And when staying onsite, its for the full length of your stay, providing you have the admissions necessary to cover it. So when I stay for 16 days in August with my AP onsite, I can book FPs for all 16 days starting at 60 days from my first night.
