3 Years in the Making: Our return to WDW...with diapers! SAD NEWS 7/1 page 41

When I last updated we had just finished up Seth's first haircut at Harmony Barber Shop and Seth had realized just what a handsome dude he was. :rotfl:

Apparently getting a first haircut is hard work.....

We left the barber shop and headed straight for Fantasyland. We had a 10:30-ish ADR at Crystal Palace, but we wanted to get some stuff done in Fantasyland first.

As we were walking down Main Street, the Mayor was standing near this pile of horse doo yelling, "Free pictures with Pooh!!!" :rotfl2: It was hilarious! I wish I would have thought to take a video.

Nearing the castle, I always go picture crazy. It's just so pretty! (Minus the crane.)

Through the castle and into Fantasyland....

Mickey's Philharmagic is my favorite 4-D show at Disney. We didn't get to see it this trip b/c Seth would never keep those glasses on. Next time!

DSC08337.jpg

First order of business: Peter Pan's Flight! The queue is always so long for this and I don't think I've ever waited more than 10 minutes b/c we always go either first thing in the morning or get a FP. I love Peter Pan - that and Alice in Wonderland are my two favorite Disney movies. So Seth had to ride this while we were there.

DSC08339.jpg

After our flight through Neverland, we decided to hit Dumbo before the wait got too bad. I think it was 15 or 20 minutes at that point.

The sun was beaming down during some of that wait for Dumbo, so Ray let Seth borrow his hat to help shield his little eyes.

While we were waiting I saw Erica over near the carousel and yelled for her. She and her cousin came over to the Dumbo queue to say hello. We were meeting them at Crystal Palace in a little while for breakfast, so it was a quick hug and hello!

Almost there!

DSC08351.jpg

We got a green Dumbo, my favorite color!

Here we go!

Seth LOVED Dumbo! I would say next to IaSW that was his favorite ride. :goodvibes We took some video of him on Aladdin's Carpets later on in the day, so I'll post that. He had a very similar reaction to Dumbo, only more smiley. :teeth:

Next we headed for the carousel. Prince Charming's....whatever it's called these days. To me it's still Cinderella's Carousel. Anyway, we stopped first to see if Seth had any luck with this sword I've been messing with for years now.....

DSC08379.jpg

Hmmmm.....maybe if I concentrate real hard.....

DSC08380.jpg

Nope, no luck. I'll just smile and be cute and maybe that'll work!

DSC08381.jpg

DSC08382.jpg

Still no luck....dang it!

DSC08384.jpg

Oh, well. :confused3

While we were waiting (less than 5 minutes) for the carousel Ray took some pictures of the artwork on the carousel. He didn't get all of them but here are a few that turned out not-blurry (and isn't this the story in a nutshell anyway?).

He absolutely loved the carousel, too! I'm so glad he loved the rides for the most part. I hope that continues!

As we were getting off I told him to pet the horsey and he all of the sudden was very interested in it. I think he had just realized that he was riding a horse! :rotfl:

The Beast's castle in the distance....can't wait for this section to be finished!

Alice and her furry white friend....I'm so glad he's not running from her any more!

DSC08423.jpg

Rapunzel....I was surprised that the queue for this wasn't that horrible. Don't get me wrong - it was long. But I would say no more than a 30-minute wait. We didn't wait to meet her b/c Seth doesn't know who she is, but I had heard horror stories about the wait time to meet her.

DSC08425.jpg

As we headed back to Main Street for our Crystal Palace reservation, Ray snapped some pictures. Love the atmosphere here!

Next update: Breakfast at Crystal Palace with some old and new friends....and we find out which character Seth absolutely adores, to our surprise!

Oh, it looks like Seth is having such a fun time. His smile shows how happy he is! The fall decorations are so pretty in WDW. :goodvibes

Great job on photo shopping out the crane. I feel bad for the people that are seeing the castle for the first time and that darn crane is in the way.

Looks like you guys had an awesome morning! I just love the Carousel, so we have to do it at least once a trip. You guys got some cute pictures of Seth riding his gallant steed!

He is just so darn cute Dawn. I cannot get enough of him. What a sweet little face on all these rides and pulling the sword. I win bad mom, I don't think Luke has ever got to give that a try. He would love it, he is a swashbuckling pirate boy who loves swords. I can't imagine the restrain to wait until he is five to go back... I could not make it that long!

A perfect morning!!!! Seth is in a great mood, a few rides done and now on to breakfast. Nothing could be finer. :cloud9:

Thanks. It was a cute little experience and we enjoyed it. As you know, we won't be back for awhile. But if I were you I'd definitely use the excuse that Will needs a haircut....a DISNEY haircut....in order to plan a trip soon!

It is being 'discussed' ;)

Next update: Breakfast at Crystal Palace with some old and new friends....and we find out which character Seth absolutely adores, to our surprise!
Ooooohhhhhh....I know....I know :hyper: HA!

This was fun seeing....b/c I had heard about it, but cool to see your steps that morning :cool2:

Can't wait for more!

Why people take little ones to Disney World, even though they won't ever remember it. :lovestruc

And MeMom as we both know they prob 'remember' more than we give them credit for.....Will is so sweet and hilarious discussing all the 'Disney' things :goodvibes

OMG! So precious to see Seth enjoying Dumbo so much - just everything you want to experience and remember from your little one's first visit!!!

I can't wait to see who his fav character is! Our little Londynn got fixated on Chip N Dale just out of the blue at that age!:rotfl2:

Oh my goodness I love this update! Your pictures of the castle are gorgeous despite the crane. The sky is oh so beautiful! Good job to Ray on the photoshopping magic! :goodvibes Love the pictures from Dumbo too. It will be closed while we are there *sniff* But we'll ride Aladdin. That's so great that you got some pictures of the construction too. I love the look of the beasts castle. I too can't wait for that section to be opened! Oh and Seth is adorable trying to pull the sword from the stone and riding his horsey on the carousel. I can't wait to go on that. It's been years for me!

I love the pic of you looking back up Main St. You never see it from that point, everyone is looking at the castle instead (and who can blame them). And of course we all love the Dumbo and Sword pics. So sad Dumbo will not be operational while we are there. I so wanted DS's first pics to be with Dumbo. Oh well, next time :)
Great update. You take pics that show things from different angles than most. Not having been in 20 years I am just soaking it up. I like the one from Pan's boarding area too, haven't seen that one before. popcorn::

Seth's first haircut post was adorable. I love how he looked at himself and grinned so big. :) Depending on how quickly our baby's hair grows, we might be able to get their first haircut at WDW! You have such great pictures. What kind of camera do you have? Oh--and Seth with the sword was so cute!

That's great that Seth loved those rides! I love his pictures with the Sword and the Stone!!! The last picture that Ray photoshopped is a definite keeper!

Could there be a cuter picture than Seth trying to pull the sword out of the stone?!!! That was so adorable.

Aw Seth looks like he's having so much fun! And I promise Abbie will never get the squirrel on her head at BBB...as long as I have anything to do with it! I'd prep her all up ahead of time for the bun!

I love the updates. The picture of Seth smiling at himself is precious. He knows he is a handsome prince. I can't wait to hear what character he loved.

Just catching up, we just got back from a cruise on the Mexican Riviera and now school has started back up so less time for TR reading... darn life getting in the way... :rotfl: The video of Seth's haircut is too precious! I love his I love me face in the mirror. My husband and I just booked a cruise on the Disney Dream with our DVC points that will follow our first visit home to AKV for 2013 (which has not yet been booked since it is too far out) and we're contemplating trying to fit a baby in before then. We'll just have to see what happens :lovestruc
