My son has delayed sensory processing disorder. He has never eaten a vegetable, piece of meat, noodle, grain of rice, egg, ... You get the picture . We want to go to Ohana and Boma coming up on our next trip, but we do not want to pay for a meal for him that he truly will not eat. We have the paper work for his diagnosis, and are hoping that if we show it to our server they will understand. Has anyone ever experienced something like this?

They do not bend the rules for anybody. Even people on feeding tubes, and those with documented, recent gastric bypass surgery. At buffets, you just have to rationalize that you're paying for the experience, not the food.

Wow... Ok. That's a bummer. I guess we'll just have to pay.

It depends actually. At Boma & Cape May we did not have to pay for my niece who has a g tube. We did pay for her at Chef Mickey's.

So I would call and inquire before you go. That's what I did.

They will not bend the rules but will bring your child whatever you need for him to eat. And charge full price. FWIW. My kiddo and I have food allergies and 'Ohana specifically is really outstanding.

What does he eat? Will you bringing food for him? Will he not be eating anything on the buffet? If not, I don't think they charge you, but if you are going to be even feeding him just fruit, from the buffet, you will have to pay fully buffet price for him.
