Our travel party includes 2-16 year old girls, 1-17 year old boy, my wife and me. We want to book one room for one night in order to get early entry into the WoHP and the express line pass.

I can get a standard queen room at Portifino Bay for $210 or a Deluxe Room for $269.

How bad will it be squeezing the five of us into a room for one night? Would you spend the extra on the Deluxe Room?

I assume I will need to get a cot in either room.

Thanks

Just throwing this out there - HRH has a deluxe room that has 2 queen beds and a queen sleeper - saving the $ of a rollaway.

Some portofino deluxe rooms have a chair sleeper but I know some do not so you would have to check on that.

I did see that room at HRH....it would be perfect...but...

$419 for deluxe room at HRH
$269 for deluxe room at Portifion Bay

Wow! That is unusual.
For one night I would stay in the gardenview. The deluxe is really bigger mainly due to the bathroom.

if you are only staying one night onsite, you'll manage ok for one night of cramped quarters in the room.

you'll most likely be in the parks until they close and in the room only to shower and sleep.

if you need an extra bed, you can rent a rollaway for $25 for a night.

if you want to bring an aero mattress for one person, star service, at your request, will bring you linens, pillows, etc for that mattress on the floor.

i'd go with the cheapest room for the night.

in some rooms, the pull out couch/bed, isn't all that comfortable.
if you go that route and have problem with the bar in that set up, call star service on your room phone.
they can bring you extra linens so you can pad the pull out bed.

We have done 5 nights similar to you at RPR. It was a 2 queen room standard. DW and I on one queen, my DS 8 and wife's teen ( 17 year old ) brother in other queen bed. Then wife's brothers friend, 17 also on the floor with the top layer bed spreads and extra sheets from star service. He opted without the rollaway. We managed just fine. It depends on how well you can deal without privacy. We come from an upbringing of camping and boating, so this is non issue.

You are talking one night, get the cheapest room at any of the three resorts. Fir comfort get the extra rollaway. :thumbsup2
