3 Siths and a Tigger- First Trip Report (Indiana Jones video is up!)

Well that's just no fun. DBF and I plan everything about our Disney trips together. What can we say. We're obsessed. Incredibly obsessed. :)

I may complain but then he does things like tonight help me make a paper chain for the kids to take a link of off everyday until we leave.

Yep. We are officially here!!!!!!! When we got here, we checked in and left our luggage. After that we went out to Downtown Disney. After walking around for a bit we decided to eat at the Rain Forest Cafe. I had the Bamba's Barbecue Wrap with beef and the guys all had burgers. After lunch, our room was ready so we came on up. We got a room with the perfect view. We can see all the pools along with the Tower of Terror and The Grizzly Rapids Run. So far what we've decided to do is hang out in our room, play on the computers, and wait for the pools to clear out before we go swimming. I will post pictures up later this afternoon once we've rested. :)

Hi everyone. I didn't end up posting pictures yesterday or the day before because I was so tired at the end of the day. So. Today i will post photos. :) Lots and lots of photos.

To start, this photo is the clock in the DBF trucks. Yep. 3am on the dot. :)

After lunch we walked around Downtown Disney. The Lego store beckoned and look who we found inside.

DSC00562.jpg

After we walked around a bit, our room was ready. We got a 5th floor room with a park view. This is what it looked like when we opened the curtains.

DSC00566.jpg

Here is a close up of the Grizzly Bear from Grizzly Rapids Run and the Hollywood Tower of Terror.

DSC00567.jpg

After staring at the view for a few minutes and exclaiming over how great a view it was, we all decided to crash.

Ok. Now for the second day in the park. The first day we went camera free to just enjoy the first day of being there.

This was our second Magic Morning. We got up at 545 am and were in the security line before 630 am.

DSC00592.jpg

This was our 2nd major ride of the day. We rode the Nemo submarines first but pictures were very hard to take.

DSC00594.jpg

This is my absolute favorite ride- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. This was another major ride we rode today.

DSC00600.jpg

We stopped about 10am for a snack at the Village Haus. Andrew got a gigantic breakfast burrito and OJ, Levon got coffee and an apple, Sal got coffee, and I got a Powerade and a banana.

DSC00605.jpg

After walking around a bit, we hit Toontown.

Then we walked past Mickey's house. Well, guess what. There was NO line to meet him. NO LINE! :D Well, we walked up and got pictures with him. Here's the 2 pictures of us with the Big Cheese himself.

We then walked through Mickey's great house. This is the best picture I took there.

More pictures to come! Stay tuned!

Oh it's a blast!!!

Ok. Now for the conclusion of Day 2.

Since the guys are such Star Wars fans, we went and watched the Jedi Training Academy. It was really cool! The master Jedi was really funny. It was a great way to spend half an hour.

After walking around more, we decided to eat lunch. The Big Thunder Ranch had just reopened so we decided to check it out. Lunch was great! We had ribs, chicken, beans, coleslaw, and cornbread.

After lunch we were off and running again. I didn't have time to take pictures we were going so fast. lol. Today we are going to museums so I'll have some great pictures to post later. :)

Lunch looks amazing. Out of curiosity, how much was it?

Lunch was fantastic! The beans were amazing as were the ribs. I have never had better ribs. All total for an all you can eat lunch was 20 bucks per adult. Children were less but since none of us can pass as 12 or younger I don't know how much it was.

To finish of Day 2, we watched the fire works from the park on Main Street. It was an amazing view. We also went to California Adventure to ride Tower of Terror. I'm terrified of that ride and screamed all the way down. I did get a good picture of the outside in the dark.

The 3rd day we went to Garvey Nut and Candy Company. It was like the Sam's Club of candy. It was rows upon rows of cases of candy.

This is what we bought.

After buying out Garvey, we went to the Natural History Museum. Here are the photos. First up Gems and Minerals, then animals, then California history.

After we finished at the Natural History Museum, we hit up the California Science Center. That place is amazing. There are so many neat things to see. When we got back to the GCH, we hung out in our room and then hit up a few rides like Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Splash Mountain.

Day 4 was like Day 2. We rode rides in Disneyland and California Adventure. Screamin' is by far my favorite ride in Cali Adventure. We rode it 2 times within an hour. The Ferris Wheel is my least favorite. lol.

Today, we are hanging out at the hotel and then going to Santa Monica Pier and then the Griffith Park Observatory. It will be a fun, late night.

My daughter says that she would like to share your candy. Lol. Wow, a bit of a sweet tooth.

I would be more than glad to share. The guys on the other hand not so much. Oh boy do we have a sweet tooth. lol. They've been munchin' on stuff non-stop. :)

She would be too. She is having her 17 birthday and she asked for bacon lollipops. So I found them online. Very interesting.

That's hilarious! :rotfl: I wouldn't be brave enough to try them. :)

Now for my last update of this trip.

The 4th day we went to the Santa Monica Pier. We basically walked around a bit and then sat on the beach for a while. We even saw a Brown Pelican.

That night we went to the Griffith Park Observatory. One of my favorite movies, Transformers, was filmed here. It was freezing cold when we got up there but the view of the city was amazing.

The last day we were there, DBF and I had room service for breakfast. He had a giant bowl of oatmeal and I had a Mickey shaped waffle and bananas foster. Let's just say that waffle was heaven.

DSC00835.jpg

We then had a lazy start to the day. We rode It's a Small World and a few other rides.

Then we rode on the monorail. It was so cool. lol. These are pictures from the wait in line.

After riding the monorail, we rode the Haunted Mansion and the Astro Blasters. Here are some pictures from those rides.

The morning of day 8, Saturday the 27th, we got up at 1 am. We loaded up the truck and hit the road. We got back home about 2 in the afternoon. It was a long trip but well worth it. We had a blast and hope everyone else did reading this trip report.

Now for a fun way to end this trip report. A guessing game. The following pictures are of different rides or attractions in Disneyland or California Adventure. See if you can name them correctly.
