This year due to a family emergency which caused a reschedule of our dates, my DH and I ended up in a 2-BR at HHI instead of our usual 1-BR. I asked our DSs if they wanted to come but since it was a Monday-Friday, they couldn’t take off work. One told me if it was the weekend, we could. That got me thinking about next year, wondering if we could book Labor Day weekend and then the rest of the week so they could come down for the weekend and my DH and I could still get our usual alone trip. The issue is that Saturday night is SO many more points than we have. We are actually only short 3 points to be able to book 5 nights but we would want 6 so really short 36. I would ideally like to book the Saturday night on cash but I’m not sure when they release those, and I’m afraid to wait since it’s a holiday weekend. That also makes me afraid of waiting until 7 months out to buy OTUP. I don’t want to borrow or else I’ll be short points for our trip in 2026. Any advice on what to do?

Find a transfer of points on disboards. We wanted to add yet another night and I was able to find a small transfer here on disboards. Win win for both parties. Good luck!

What I’m wanting to know is what Labor Day weekend is like at the resort and when they release cash prices. I’m just afraid to wait until 7 months out to buy OTUP because I’m afraid the 2-BRs will be long gone by then, and then they won’t have it available on cash.

I thought of that but the cash difference between weekend and weekday is not very different, but the point difference is vast. If I’m going to pay cash I’d rather do it on the weekend, but it just scares me to wait. Just not sure what the best thing to do is.
