Hi everyone! I am leaving for Disney on Tuesday October 24th, until Tuesday October 31st. I've been reading on here that weekends are the busiest times. So, I was thinking maybe we should do all three parks Wed,Thurs,Fri.....what do you think? or is that way too tiring?

Thanks!!! :wave2:

In the first place, there are 4 parks, not 3.

Magic Kingdom
Disney-MGM Studios
Disney's Animal Kingdom
Epcot
(Epcot is so large it might be considered 2 parks).

Second, MOST guests visit WDW at a park-a-day rate.

I have been going to WDW since it was built (3 times per year as of late) and I go to the parks every single day.

Of course weekends are busy, but I won't give up a day at the parks because its the weekend.

If you want more guidance, you could subscribe to one of the "tour services" (like TGM) and follow their recommendations.

I understand how many parks there are, we are going to 3 parks that's why I asked about 3. Sounds like you think I asked a stupid question...sorry for asking......hope someone else can help :)

Coming from a FL AP for 8 years now you heard or read correctly. The parks are and would obviously be more crowded on weekends. What 3 parks are you wanting to go to? How many days in your week will you have passes?

Hi Sparkles!! Welcome to DIS!!
Here's my two cents. It looks like you'll be at WDW at least 6 days. For us that would mean going to one or another of the parks each day for 6 days. We like to take our time and just enjoy the journey, rather than rushing through... the Disney parks are the reason we go. We get up, go to a park and stay there until the park closes.

But not everyone is like us. Some people will go early everyday, leave when they're tired and spend the rest of the day relaxing at the hotel. Some people will go for a few days and then take a day or two off to rest, and then go to the parks again the last few days. Some peoplel go every other day because they like to just hang out at the hotels. Others get up at the crack of dawn, get to the park before the opening ceremony, stay until lunch or nap time, go back to the hotel to rest &/or swim, then go back to the park for the evening to see the fireworks shows. (Don't miss them they are amazing!)

Everyone likes to do it differently, everyone get tired out at different times, it's really hard for us to tell you what will work best for you, especially trying to advise you without knowing who you're going with.

What I tell my friends is each park is wonderful in it's own way, each has it's own flavor and fun. Think about your family... do you like to sleep in or get up early. Do you like to stay out late? Do you have young kids that will need to nap? What season is it? Will the heat wipe you out mid day or will it get cold after dark?

There is much much more to do and see than you could ever possibly do in one trip. So just go with plans to do as much as you can, and see what you can and enjoy as much as you can... and then -- if you're at all like us DIS folks -- you go home and plan for your next trip!

Planning is half the fun... you'll get lots of help here on DIS. Don't get discouraged just keep asking questions until you figure it out. In my opinion first timers are better off here than with guide books and complex web sites. There is so much information before long you're on overload and don't know what you need to know. Keep your first trip simple and you'll have a blast.

Happy planning, :wave2:
If I can help in any way just let me know!

I don't see a reason to avoid weekends -- I think that's what you're getting at, and please forgive me if I'm wrong. In our experience, the key -- absolutely the key -- is to arrive early at your park of choice, no matter what day that may be.

Second -- and a distant second at that -- is to pick your parks with a view towards what's going to be the most crowded. Look at ***************** and you will get an idea of which parks have historically been more crowded at particular times of the year.

Third, and again this is our experience, is to break up your day. Epcot World Showcase makes a great evening destination, no matter what your morning park. Take some time in the early p.m. to R&R, then head to Epcot (or Downtown Disney) for some wining and dining.

And have fun!!!

We're doing 4 parks in 4 days (and have done it before), so I say YES! You'll be exhausted by the time it's over, but you will have a BLAST! Have fun!

No. Robo edited the message. It's been changed. I read the original. Your response worked. :)
