I think that was word for word what one of my reporters said when she called at 11:30 pm from up Highway 50 in the Sierra and needed $35 cash to have chains put on her news car, and only had debit and credit cards.
Yup, it's 2014, and sometimes, all they take is cash.

1. Yay! 2. $13 and some change 3. Cherry vodka & lemonade It surprises me that so many people here have cash. Nobody I know carries cash anymore. I take out a $20 every 2 weeks, and it lasts me since we use a debit card for everything we can.

I have 2 kids and spend my weekends at the football field.
I've yet to come across a snack stand that takes anything but cash. ;-)
My last uses for cash were $1 for a candy bar at work that the 5th graders are selling.
$47 at the nail salon for my daughter and I. (Can't tip in cash so I just make sure I have enough for the total, easier that way)
$20 at the snack stand.
$15 to my son for cutting the grass.

I very rarely use cash at stores, but it goes fast nevertheless.
