So if I told you that neither DH nor I have ever done a character meal together would you believe me? Hopefully!! Lol. I have had two character experiences in my life, one when I was 12 with my parents, and one in 2005 with an ex. DH has had none. The breakfast I had with my parents, circa 1994, was a breakfast with Mickey and Friends aboard a boat, which is no longer offered. I can't for the life of me remember the name, Mae Belle, something like that. I was 12 and at the most awkward stage of my life, braces and all, and I just remember being so embarrassed when the characters came around! But I still smiled for the pics and we have some funny ones of me and Pluto. My second experience was with my ex, let's call him Grumpy. It was back when Donald's Safari Breakfast was at Restaurantosaurus (I hope that's right), and it was pretty chaotic! Lots of kids running around, but we made it through! (Not with any help from Grumpy, that's for sure!
) We really made that ressie to get into AK very early and be inside the park for rope drop. That was the month EE opened, and we got to ride it first thing in the morning. The Yeti's arm was still in effect and it was amazing, but I digress.
The cast of characters for this trip are:
Moi- Allegra, 28. I. Love. Food. And Disney. So Disney Dining is pretty much some of my favorite stuff in life. I can't wait to try new experiences when we go to WDW. I also love partaking in an adult beverage or two, so you'll see those pop up along the way in my reviews. We will be drinking around the World with our Dis-Buds iheartpluto (Joanne) and her hubs Prince Eric, (as we call him!!) so that will be included in my review as well.
DH-Mike, 30, turning 31 on our arrival day 11/18. He also loves food and Disney, and can't wait to try new things. Mainly eating dinner with his beloved Belle at her Princess Dinner.
Us at Narcoossee's on our Anniversary trip.
Our dates are Thursday 11/18 through Sunday 11/21, and we'll be doing the regular DDP, as well as paying OOP for 2 of our meals. As I mentioned earlier, arrival day is DH's Birthday! I had booked this trip awhile back, and I knew we would be doing MVMCP, which is DH's favorite. I wanted to try to do something special that we've never done before, and I was able to snag a 5:30 ressie for Cinderella's Royal Table! Now I know some people may say, oh why would a guy want to eat there? But if you knew my DH, you would know he's a big kid at heart, and eating dinner in the Castle on his birthday would be something he would be super excited for!
Thursday 11/18:
Arrive Orlando 10 am. ME to ASMU
Lunch will be either at ASMU food court, or DTD depending on how we're feeling. If we end up at DTD it will be Earl of Sandwich for the blessed Holiday Sandwich FO' SHO!!! We may even split a CS credit, because we have an early dinner and won't want to fill up too much.
Dinner: 5:30 pm CRT
We can't wait for this experience. We both just feel like it's something you have to try at least once if you're a Disney freak. Or at least we want to! It will take up 2 credits, which is not the greatest but it is what it is. I can't freaking wait to try the Chocolate Buckle!! It looks yummmms!! I already told DH "We're getting TWO!!"
I've read the menu a million times, and I'm just going to go by what I'm feeling that day. The prime rib looks yums.
After dinner we have MVMCP!! We will probably use a Snack Credit at some point during the night, even though I know we'll be filling up on cookies and cocoa throughout the night lol.
