So if I told you that neither DH nor I have ever done a character meal together would you believe me? Hopefully!! Lol. I have had two character experiences in my life, one when I was 12 with my parents, and one in 2005 with an ex. DH has had none. The breakfast I had with my parents, circa 1994, was a breakfast with Mickey and Friends aboard a boat, which is no longer offered. I can't for the life of me remember the name, Mae Belle, something like that. I was 12 and at the most awkward stage of my life, braces and all, and I just remember being so embarrassed when the characters came around! But I still smiled for the pics and we have some funny ones of me and Pluto. My second experience was with my ex, let's call him Grumpy. It was back when Donald's Safari Breakfast was at Restaurantosaurus (I hope that's right), and it was pretty chaotic! Lots of kids running around, but we made it through! (Not with any help from Grumpy, that's for sure! :sad2:) We really made that ressie to get into AK very early and be inside the park for rope drop. That was the month EE opened, and we got to ride it first thing in the morning. The Yeti's arm was still in effect and it was amazing, but I digress.
The cast of characters for this trip are:

Moi- Allegra, 28. I. Love. Food. And Disney. So Disney Dining is pretty much some of my favorite stuff in life. I can't wait to try new experiences when we go to WDW. I also love partaking in an adult beverage or two, so you'll see those pop up along the way in my reviews. We will be drinking around the World with our Dis-Buds iheartpluto (Joanne) and her hubs Prince Eric, (as we call him!!) so that will be included in my review as well.

DH-Mike, 30, turning 31 on our arrival day 11/18. He also loves food and Disney, and can't wait to try new things. Mainly eating dinner with his beloved Belle at her Princess Dinner. :lovestruc :rotfl:

Us at Narcoossee's on our Anniversary trip.

Our dates are Thursday 11/18 through Sunday 11/21, and we'll be doing the regular DDP, as well as paying OOP for 2 of our meals. As I mentioned earlier, arrival day is DH's Birthday! I had booked this trip awhile back, and I knew we would be doing MVMCP, which is DH's favorite. I wanted to try to do something special that we've never done before, and I was able to snag a 5:30 ressie for Cinderella's Royal Table! Now I know some people may say, oh why would a guy want to eat there? But if you knew my DH, you would know he's a big kid at heart, and eating dinner in the Castle on his birthday would be something he would be super excited for!

Thursday 11/18:

Arrive Orlando 10 am. ME to ASMU

Lunch will be either at ASMU food court, or DTD depending on how we're feeling. If we end up at DTD it will be Earl of Sandwich for the blessed Holiday Sandwich FO' SHO!!! We may even split a CS credit, because we have an early dinner and won't want to fill up too much.

Dinner: 5:30 pm CRT

We can't wait for this experience. We both just feel like it's something you have to try at least once if you're a Disney freak. Or at least we want to! It will take up 2 credits, which is not the greatest but it is what it is. I can't freaking wait to try the Chocolate Buckle!! It looks yummmms!! I already told DH "We're getting TWO!!" :rotfl: I've read the menu a million times, and I'm just going to go by what I'm feeling that day. The prime rib looks yums.

After dinner we have MVMCP!! We will probably use a Snack Credit at some point during the night, even though I know we'll be filling up on cookies and cocoa throughout the night lol.

See you at WDW...we will be there the same time!

I could have sworn I have read recently that the choc. buckle is no more at CRT. Also there have been reports that the menu has recently changed. If you check the main restaurant page the new menu is posted on there somewhere. Hopefully someone will have better news and I am wrong about it no longer being served. Just didn't want you to be disappointed.

P.S. I had the choc. buckle in May and it was yummy.

Hope you have a great trip!

Thanks for that!! I'll have to look into it. Thankfully I'm not gonna be upset if the menu has changed, EVEN if the famed chocolate buckle is gone. I'm easy like that!! I'll just be happy to be there!!! YAY for you that you got to try it!!! Thanks again for the heads up!! :goodvibes:goodvibes

I've enjoyed your other reports and look forward to hearing what you think of character meals! Personally we love them.

CRT is a great meal.

Have a great time!:wizard:

We will probably pass you guys at the airport! We are flying out :sad1: the same time you are flying in!

Will check back to see your report!

Thank you so much for tuning in to my other wee reports!! That's so nice! :goodvibes:goodvibes: Glad you liked CRT, we can't wait! I mean, we're not going into it looking for serious Signature type cuisine, so I think we will be pleased with the whole experience. Stay tuned!!

Aww booo!!! Thanks for dropping in to say hi!! Have an AMAZING trip!!! :wizard::wizard:

Day 2: Friday 11/19

Breakfast: Crystal Palace 8:10 am (OOP)

We are super excited for this experience for many reasons. The first reason is that we will get to see the MK with barely anyone in it! We have had that experience before, but always at night, never in broad daylight! The second reason is for the amazing breakfast buffet. As someone who traveled to Vegas for over 6 years, every 6 months for trade shows, I have eaten at a LOT of buffets. I loves me a good buffet! DH and I haven't done one single Disney buffet together, and we've heard great things about the breakfast spread here, so we can't wait. I'm looking forward to trying the famous puffed french toast, and having a make-your-own omelet. The third reason is to get prime entry to rope drop in order to start our day off right! This is one of the best reasons to have ANY early morning in-the-park ADR, for sure, as it can maximize your time.
Now some of you may be saying, " But you didn't mention Pooh! And Eeyore and Piglet! And don't forget TIGGER!!!"...I haven't forgotten them, don't worry! And if they happen to come out and come by our table while we're eating, we would LOVE to hug them!! But if for some unforeseen reason (I always think of Seinfeld here lol) they aren't on schedule and we miss them, we will be ok. We definitely won't be waiting for them if we're done eating and ready to get out there for rope drop. So hopefully they get to come by and say hello!!

Lunch: Columbia Harbor House (2 CS Credits)

We love CHH and it's become "our" little place where we go for lunch in MK. We always get the same thing, I get the Anchors Aweigh sandwich, which is the tuna sandwich on multigrain bread with lettuce and tomato. DH gets the fried fish and chicken combo basket. Sometimes he gets the fish basket and fries. But either way we share and it's YUMMOOOO!! We plan on stopping to eat when we're hungry. After a big buffet at around 8:15 am we probably won't be hungry til noon. After lunch we hop over to EP...

Dinner: Akershus Princess Dinner, Norway (1 TS credit each)

Ok so this is the one meal that I'm like, should I have booked this? But as one of my colleagues says, I need to stop shoulding all over myself :rotfl::rotfl2:, and be positive! The MAIN reason I booked this dinner was because DH loves Belle, and I thought it would be cute for him to go to "her" dinner. He thinks it's a cute idea too, and is excited, I just hope the food is at least ok. I've heard a bunch of mixed reviews, so I'm just hoping for the best. I'm also hoping (and praying) that it's not a madhouse:scared1: in there, although I know there is a grand possibility that it will be. So let's hope for good food, good kids, and a good dinner!! :goodvibes:goodvibes:thumbsup2

Day 3: Saturday 11/20- DHS

Breakfast: ASMU Food Court (OOP)
We are doing morning EMH at DHS, so we'll be at the food court early. I may even send DH over there while getting ready, and we'll eat in the room.

Lunch: 11:55 am Sci-Fi Dine In (OOP)
We've never eaten here before and we're really excited to try it! I've heard mixed reviews, but we're just planning on getting burgers and the peanut butter cake for dessert. Looks divine!!

Dinner: Unsure...We will probably grab snacks at DHS before Osbourne Lights, so we will most likely end up eating dinner at the ASMU food court. HOWEVER we are contemplating upgrading our ticket to a park hopper so we can hop over to MK around 6:30 to catch one final night of Wishes. MK closes at 10 pm and for us those extra hours are everything! If we do this, we will probably grab CS in MK for dinner. Maybe even CHH again!
