3 Night Dream - 02-03-11

We got 12 inches of snow overnight and it is still going. I'm "working from home" this morning and watched my neighbor shovel her car out so she could go to work. She works for the post office.... maybe she had to go to work to bring me my documents today.

The documents include final paperwork (mostly the same as online), contracts and your luggage tags. Nothing too exciting, but it means that it is getting close!!

With the shuttle postponement, I'm looking for a place closer to WDW to stay the night before. I've already booked breakfast with Mickey and Stitch at Ohana before heading to the ship. Meanwhile, DW is looking to scam the grandparents into watching the kids the night before so we can go to California Grill for dinner and MK fireworks. This was planned as a 3 day to save money.

We got about 8 inches here. We are "going all out" this trip and doing 5 nights prior in WDW. Originally we were staying in FW Cabin but thinking of changing to a 2BR villa because now MIL will be with us for the WDW portion of our trip.
18 days until I leave so I hope my docs come soon !

We got about 7 inches of snow on Sunday night. The kids have been out of school for 3 days and will not go tomorrow. That's just how it is in Tennessee.

I was able to choose a cat 5 GTY, but it does appear to be nearly full!

I don't know if that's good or bad. We are still in GTY status so I am thinking that if it gets full they will evidently give us a cabin number!!!

Since we are on one of the first few sailings, a full ship may not be the best but hopefully they will have all the kinks worked out for us.

Reading many of the threads, people seem very concerned about the pool sizes. I just can't wait to see for myself.

Are you all doing the aquaduck? They said that there were signs posted about 45 minute waits. I am hoping for good weather.

I can't wait to do the Aquaduck! I really don't care about the size of the pool; they're never really big enough to do more than get wet anyway. With an entire new ship to explore, I may be too busy to hang out at the pool for any extended period of time. We got our cruise docs today, a very nice spiral-bound booklet, with our names, itinerary, excursions, stateroom, flight information - the works! printed as part of the booklet, as if we were the most important people in the world, which, of course, we are

Oh man now I want them !! I am thinking with the training cruises and the two before us that any major kinks will be worked out before our sailing. Although, having never sailed before I may not even know a kink when I see one )

i called disney no room assignment yet and cruise docs have not been mailed...the cruise is in less than 3 weeks....It looks like verandah rooms only are left I am in a 6 Gty. I just want to know where my room is.......it is now becoming an obsession and i check the website like 10 times a day!!!

No cruise docs for us either but that's okay we are on the ship. I heard from my travel agent this morning and she told me not to worry about the cabin assignment today because the department that makes the assignments isn't open on the weekends! That will save me a few minutes of my day!

The pictures that are coming out look really nice. I am concerned about the weather but not enough to let it dampen my spirits!

My cruise docs came yesterday!

Has anyone had a character call them (or their kids) from the disneycruise web site? It is actually a pretty fun little message, much longer than I expected... and free.

Now that the cruise docs have arrive, I'm starting to watch the weather:

Seasonal averages for the Bahamas look like in the upper 70s, but the forcast is showing mid to low 70s for the next 10 days. I can live with that, but the upper 70s/80s would be amazing.

I keep looking through my docs, I went through my cruise folder and reviewed my hotel ressie, checked hotwire to see if anything that looked like the Hyatt came up (no luck), reserved a car, logged onto the website just to see the "your cruise departs in 19 days!", checked the airlines reservations, tried on the summer clothes....

Hello Everyone! We will be joining you all on this cruise. We booked this evening. Decided to add it on to our Jan. 30 sailing so we can have a full 7 nights to explore the Dream. It will be me Henrietta and my two youngest DDs 9 and 7. It is a complete surprise for the girls. I will tell them the night before we leave. Looking forward to sailing this amazing ship!!

So long as I get away from the mid 20's and snow I will be happy. It has been way too cold here. We actually leave in 12 days since we are doing Disney beforehand ! Can't wait
