3 kids , free dining , and the un-free alcohol.... UPDATED 11/26

We woke up bright and early from a refreshing night at the mariott. Our beds were so comfy. However, after the 14 hour drive from ohio to savanah with rain, mountains, fog, red bull, bug crawling skin, hand foot mouth, ...............you get the point. I could've slept on concrete and told you it was comfy!! :rotfl2:

We shower, gather our overnight bags, and head down to the continental breakfast. I was actually impressed with the breakfast. There was a bit of variety and it all tasted yummy! So ................ on the road again. About 4 more hours of driving and we'll be there. After driving about 1 hour , we stopped for gas. We went to BP first, but all of the gas novels were covered. okay, WTH?? We heard people talking about how they were having trouble getting gas in the southeast. OMG--- i have a mini panic attack, thinking, how are we getting to disney with no gas??? I start to think of back up plans............. We spot a gas station across the street. The lady there said they haven't had any problems getting gasoline. okay, maybe it will be okay. And , woo whoo this gas station has an 8ft alligator!! Sa-weet! here's some pics of us in the gas station. We're not touristy , are we??? ha ha

The rest of the drive was uneventful!! We arrive in Orlando and see the signs!! :woohoo: Usually at this point , we start yelling and beeping the horn acting crazy. But, bashful fell asleep and we did NOT want to wake him. Check in would be much easier with him sleeping! :thumbsup2

We arrive at all-star movies. I pull the car around to the luggage unloading area. Mom and I go inside to check in, while dh unloads the car. There was a bit of a line, but it went fast. Mom and I checked in together since we wanted connecting rooms. I had called to request this about 2 weeks ago. They look up our rooms and .............................THEY HAVE US IN DIFFERENT BUILDINGS...................... can you believe that??? I request connecting rooms and they give us different buildings!! She asks if we would like to be closer together. Ummm, yeah. So, she finds us 2 rooms beside each other. They're not connecting, but it will do. DH takes the luggage to the room and we drive the car around the front building to park. We are in Toy story building 10 3rd floor. Our room is actually close to the main building and pool!! Room inspection was clean , so we began to unpack. We spent about 2 hours getting our rooms in order! I'm weird like that. I can't relax until I have things in somewhat order.

cont... next post

I would have been freaking out thinking that I wouldn't be able to get gas. :scared1:

Wow I can't believe they wanted to put you guys in separate buildings!

After our room is in somewhat order, we decide to head over to magic kindom. We stop in the toy story courtyard to play and take some pics. My kids just love the toy story area . It's my favorite as well. Here are some pics.........

We get to the bus area and voila...........the bus is there!! yipee!!
It's about 10-15 minutes to mk from all stars. We arrive at MK and IT IS PACKED!! I should've figured since it was saturday, but i thought it was better in sept. Oh well. We're starving at this point , so we head over to cosmic rays. It was crowded in here too, but not crazy crowded. i got a turkey wrap , dh a burger and the kids nuggets. It was all tasty!! BTW......I'm not hard to please when it comes to food!!

We head over to fantasyland since bashful will be able to ride the rides here. We use the GAC card for ariel and bashful. (no flames please) Well, the ride just begins and bashful starts freaking out! He's saying dark , dark!! Oh no, he's scared of pooh!!??? :headache: OMG , this is going to be bad!!! We get off the ride and regroup. Okay, he's afraid of dark rides.........hmmmm.............. I guess we'll ride Dumbo. We wait about 20 minutes for dumbo. He didn't cry on it, but didn't really get excited either. This is really weird. Last year, he loved it. They've been working on his sensory system in occuapational therapy, so maybe he's able to realize he's afraid. That's what i'm guessing anyway. We head over to Philharmagic, since everyone loved it last year. We end up with great seats, right in middle of theatre, middle of row. Well, lights go out and you know it!! Bashful starts crying. UH-OH ........ Like i said, i'm in the middle, so i can't leave. I try to calm him and it works a little. He whimpered here and there, but at least he didn't scream the entire time. I'm at a loss at this point. I don't know what else we can do without child swapping for every ride. Even the kiddie rides!!! ugggghhhhhhhh............

We head over to ariel's grotto and let the kids play in the water. Bashful loves it.............. finally , bashful is happy!!! we took his shirt off, so it didn't get soaked. But I couldn't believe the number of kids stripped down to their underwear!! I was just surprised. I figured the cast members would say something, but they didn't . I guess it's allowed.

At this point, we're hot and tired. We decided it's time to go back to the room. Lucky again. Our bus was waiting for us!!! I hope it's like this all week!!! Ariel was exhausted and fell asleep on the bus...........awww .........she's cute!!

Once back in the room , we get refreshed cuz the girls have a date to watch cirque du soleil!!!! yeah , baby!!! DH took some pics of me and ariel before the show. Okay, there are quite a few pics here because ariel would not look at the camera or when she actually looked and smiled, I had a goofy look!! So, here they are. I don't think we ever got one where both of us are smiling!! and that was after about 20 pics!! ha ha !!!

okay, you get the point!!! LOL.. We have tickets for the 9pm showing, but have to pick up our tickets at will call by 8pm. We drive to DTD and arrive in line at will at 759pm. Now, i don't know what happens if you're not there to pick up tickets by 8pm, but i didn't really want to find out!! We are 4th row up and center. Oh yeah , baby!! We have about 40minutes to kill as i didn't want to sit down in the theatre too soon. We spotted an outdoor bar across from Cirque tent. I got a yummy margirita, mom a pina colada and ariel got a virgin strawberry dacquri!! She was loving girls night out!

It's time to be seated at this point. We get into the tent. Mom and ariel get seated while I grab some yummies!! Heinikien for me , corona for mom, pop and popcorn for ariel. Our seats were wonderful. However, if I did it again , I would not pay the prices for bottom level seats. I would buy upper level , center. Don't get me wrong, it was great. It felt as if we were actually in the show with people flying over us , around us , and right in front of us. But, we had to strain our necks looking up for most of the show! But, it was still great!! My mom really wanted to do it, she says it is on her "bucket list"!! So, now she says she got to do 1 thing on her list! I told her she could put it back on the list and we'll do it again next year, but we'll see! ;)

Ariel was exhausted at this point. She fell asleep in the car on the way back to the hotel. We opened the door to our room and the boys were sound asleep. Night, Night!

Up Next: UP EARLY FOR AK .......... (or were we??)

I hope Bashful didn't get scared on all the rides! He looked like he was having fun in the water :goodvibes

Here's what blows my mind... I never (okay twice in my entire life) request connecting rooms, yet receive one 98% of teh time. WHY aren't they giving this room to the people who actually REQUEST it?!?! :headache:

oh no... was leo afraid of rides too??

yes, it was a wonderful girls night out!

Man after all that Red Bull did you blink for the rest of the trip?LOL Side thing what's a GAC card?

ha ha, no blinking, but did have a bit of a tremor!! (joke)

gac-- guest assistance card-- used by those with disabilities. my 2 kids are autistic and have sensory issues. large crowds can be horrible for them, so the card helps by letting us use an alternate entrance or fast pass entrance.

I figured it had something to do with people with disabilities.I ask because my brother has Downs syndrome and has difficulties walking and I would love for my family to go with us someday. And I'm always on the look out for things that would make it easier for all of us.

I am liking ASMo so far, however Jimmy informed the other night that even though he likes Toy Story "I like when our hotel is at Pop CEntury Mommy so that's where we are going to stay"!!!!

Guess he told me:headache:

I love the photos of you and your daughter prior to Cirque. Even (especially) the "goofy" ones. I have an 11 y.o. daughter with autism, but she is low functioning and autistic. So I have lots of photos like that with my own daughter.

I'm now hooked on your report and admit I am anxious to see how things went with your youngest child.

I hope bashful finds a ride/show he loves.

I bet Ariel is going to be requesting more girls nights out!

We loved Cirque too! It was on Television the other night (a PBS member drive I think) and we all sat and cuddled on my bed remembering our Disney trip.

I just found your trip report and am really enjoying it. This is back in your trip a bit but I am with you about I-77. We used to drive that back and forth from Ohio to Georgia( when we lived in GA and our family was here) and I hated it. It was always just like you described it.:scared: It didn't seem to matter if we were traveling at night or during the day. It was always bad. Luckily, because of our families locations in Ohio we were also able to travel on I-75 instead. Much better.;)

I saw Cirque 2 years ago. I loved it and would like to see it again.

We were at WDW about the same time as you, Sept. 13th -20th.

I am looking forward to the rest of your report!:goodvibes
