Any ideas what to do with the kiddos (4 & 9 YOs) during this connection? One thing I am planning to do is leave all our carry-ons with DW and taking the kids on a shuttle ride between terminals. Open to other ideas.

do you have any gameboys they could bring?Maybe color books or crossword word serch puzzles?Maybe walk around and look at gift shops.Mine brought gameboys last trip and they have movie cartridges for them as well like cartoons. We sat in chairs that had a plug in near them so they plugged them in and played games.

3 hours sounds like an awfully long time, but by the time you deplane, hit the restroom, maybe grab a bite to eat or something to drink, and do the shuttle ride, it will probably be almost time to start boarding your 2nd flight.

I think you'll be fine with your plan. Maybe a couple of coloring books like someone suggested, just in case, but when DS was little, we used to take turns just walking around the terminal with him, since he'll be sitting for the flight.

Yes, usuallly preboarding is 1/2 hr before scheduled flight time, so that cuts your time down to 2.5 hrs. Grab some lunch/dinner and take the shuttle ride, you should be good to go :goodvibes

Kind of goes along with this thread, on Thursday im flying to San Francisco on a award flight from Delta (Hopefully I get home  ) anyways, I have an 8 Hour Layover in Cincinatti!! I decided to rent a car for $30 a go see some sights, but imagine having to entertain kids for 8 hrs in an airport...sounds like a nightmare to me!!
