We have a three hour layover at MCO while flying to San Juan for our Disney Cruise. We've been to MCO many times for WDW, so I'm not sure if leaving terminal two is a good idea. Basically it feels like long enough to feel long, too short to really do anything. What would you do to fill in the time with a 6 year old?

I am not sure what Terminal 2 is (a OR b) but I think all of them have a restaurant. Meals' one option

I think the Delta terminal has a small play area too.

Considering the lines at MCO I wouldn't go outside of a secure area unless i had to. You really don't have 3 hours. Probably 15 to 30 minutes to get off the plane so now you are at 2:30. Back on the plane at about 30 minutes. Now it's 2 hours and consideirng security at MCO can take an hour.....

I had 3 hours at JFK, by the time we got off the plane, went to get something to eat/bathroom breaks/etc it was basically time to head back to our gate.

Yea I'm thinking getting to the gate, getting off the plane, hitting the bathroom (how large is your group?) and boarding the next plane all take more time than you would think.

You don't really have 3 hours.

Landing time is not "get off the plane" time and that can take anywhere from 15 minutes to half an hour. Let's go with 20 minutes. Now you have just over 2.5 hours. Boarding time is 30 minutes or so before the plane so now you are down to 2 hours.

So you have 2 hours to kill. Just find the restaurant and have lunch/dinner.

I never buy anything, but I like to browse in the stores if I have extra time. If you want to kill more time, get in line to buy some Starbucks, that always seems like it takes forever in the Orlando airport.

I was at MCO today & noticed a spa for massages. If I had the time...and the money...

First, is it actually 3 hours? If you land at 12pm for example and the next plane takes off at 3pm you won't be off the plane until after 12 and you'll be boarding by 2:30 at the latest. If there is a delay coming in, even less. So keep that in mind.

But there are plenty of restaurants and shops in the area and between books, games, bathroom break and grabbing something to eat, it goes by fast. My kids at that age love to just watch the planes too. We do a round of I Spy or charades and let them draw and it's rarely an issue. Take a walk when need be. Security can be such an issue at MCO I don't think I'd want to have to deal with that to get back in. We've easily spent 45 minutes to an hour in line for security some days so that would eat up most of your free time.
