My friend and I are flying out after work on a Saturday night. We depart Grand Rapids at 5pm and land in Chicago at 5pm due to the time change. Then, we sit until our 7:50pm departure to Orlando. Since we probably won't eat dinner before we leave, and we have about 2 hours to kill in Chicago, I was thinking we could have a decent, leisurely dinner between our flights. I can't find a lot of information on what restaurants are available at Midway. Our last trip through there, our layover was 70 minutes which was barely enough time to grab McDonald's.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

I don't have any suggestions but I highly recommend the app Gate Guru. Type in Midway and it will tell you every restaurant, store, and amenity in the airport and which terminal its in. Love it when I travel for business and am in different airports.

I had a couple of layovers at Midway back when I was making frequent trips back and forth to the west coast and remember not being very excited about the food choices. I recall ending up with a sandwich that was OK but don't remember the name of the place. Poor Boy something? A mind is a terrible thing to lose.

There's a Pot Belly in the terminal. There's also a build your own salad type place in there somewhere. Otherwise, there's not a whole lot to do at that airport.

Only ate there once but the Harry Carey restaurant was OK.

We've had Potbellly, some various food court places, and the usual McDonalds. Harry Caray's is probably the type of place you are looking for. It seems to us like Midway has a few more choices to eat than some other airports, but there isn't much else to do to pass the time.

I'm terrible at remembering names but there's a pizza place with a decent bar in the very back of the food court area. I've eaten there a couple times and had a drink while waiting for flights. Midway doesn't have the greatest sit down restaurant selection.

Not too many unique choices, bit I did have a great caprese panini there last time!

Restaurants with table service, as opposed to quick serve/fast food include the following:
Harry Caray's
Tuscany (recommended)
Miller's Pub
All three are branches of Chicago-based restaurants.
