Sorry I was pretty much MIA yesterday ... woke up not feeling great but I was able to make it to the American Cancer Society for my volunteer shift but then ...... I was done for the day .... no Dis, no phone calls .... that's all folks! I think if I rest a little today I should be good as new!!!

I had a day HE double hockey stix today First when I went in at noon after a staff meeting at my second job , I found that the gal with the broken back is in very bad shape the surgeon ordered another MRI and a f/u appointment both this week ,and said she has to stay HOME till further notice. All of which entailed massage phone calling to set up mri, get staff in to do the appointments juggle the existing appointments cancel one, get in daytime staff plus organize and shop for a Pot Luck Luncheon for the Aktion Club , just when I thought it couldn't get any worse , my overnight staff called off , I have to admit I was NOT sympathetic to her !!But I was gonna just curl up and shut out he world , but had to check in with my Dis family so hear I am !!!

News Flash:


I have changed my flights .... I'm now arriving on Dec 3rd!!!

In 2010 when I had a wheelchair, they took us up in an elevator to another entrance at TSM and Janet went right on...I did not ride that time because the Safari left me out of commission ....was not the brightest decision to go 7 wks after major surgery...who knew?

The Tendonitis is acting up again after being out just a few hours yesterday and minimal walking (2700 steps)...I am going to ask the Dr for a shorter boot...but she might not have those at the office since this is the standard.

I will rent a wheelchair at the parks and push it most of the time...then I can sit in line to rest. Walking in that thing is exhausting ...and painful for the opposite hip. So whatever they give out I will get and all of us will be included. Not sure it is of any help though.

You can push me if you want or better still let me loose in it .. Do I hear Christine sprinting for the bushes

Now it's fun with car rentals!!!

Maybe TheClampett mobile is available !! I would sit in Grannie's seat!!

may i recommend eating the brat and sauerkraut in germany i really enjoyed that a few trips ago. and you can get it at the walk up booth in germany.

Not many of you know a Disser named Grace , Christine and I always followed her ptr's and I met her once in Disney !!This week she was hit by a car walking close to her home and has broken bones in her wrists and had surgery!! She asked for our prayers

Grace is one of the sweetest people I have even been blessed to know. I cannot begin to imagine the pain she must be in ...both wrists fractured...surgery...and other injuries as well. She is the 2nd DISer I know who has been in an accident recently, with serious injuries. Another friend had an accident at work and franctured her collar bone.

Holding them all so very near in heartfelt prayer. Very gentle hugs.

Of course, you know it is driving me just a little bit crazy that I am the only one not arriving in the 3rd!!! My little Missy is going to be lost without me ....so would not leave her an extra night....or I would have been very tempted!!

Missy has been here 5 weeks....as is so sweet...LOVES Sophia ...poor little thing cowers a lot though....who knows what she has suffered....she is safe now and learning all about love.

Yes! I'm closer to these ladies than some people I know in my day to day life! I think after chatting and sharing our lives since 2008/2009 for me, you guys lost stranger status a long time ago!! Rosie, you are a more recent new friend, but I'm sure it won't be long until we feel like we've known each other forever! Disney friends are the BEST friends!

I agree Marie !!! But it took a while for Judy to understand this and she was not to happy about me meeting Dissers !! Now she has met many and agrees Dissers are great!!! I had to chuckle as this gal also new Dan and said he is such a Disney fanatic he even goes on this thing called the Dis !!!

The first time I went on a trip (and shared a room) with a DISer was for MouseFest 2004. We met on the DIS and starting chatting often on that old live chat (can't remember how that worked)... Then we started talking on the phone for HOURS...one day we broached the topic and said, well, we might as well share a room. Her family was worried!!! But I had shared rooms with real strangers on pilgrimage trips. We never met or spoke until meeting at check-in at the hotel (in Portugal one trip and another in Rome).

Anyway, I am still alive and well...and so is the other DISer!!! (at least until I meet Rosie!)
