The first time I went on a trip (and shared a room) with a DISer was for MouseFest 2004. We met on the DIS and starting chatting often on that old live chat (can't remember how that worked)... Then we started talking on the phone for HOURS...one day we broached the topic and said, well, we might as well share a room. Her family was worried!!! But I had shared rooms with real strangers on pilgrimage trips. We never met or spoke until meeting at check-in at the hotel (in Portugal one trip and another in Rome).

Anyway, I am still alive and well...and so is the other DISer!!! (at least until I meet Rosie!)

Hi all,
Sent Linda a text today and found out she news she wanted me to share with you. She hurt her back early Sunday morning and her and Jessica spent most of the day in the ER. X-rays were okay. The Doctor thought most likely a pinched nerve. The hospital gave her a narcotic (even though she told them not too) and she was sick from it. Has non narcotics pain killers now and for the most part she can’t move. She didn’t think much of the ER doctor.

Linda, sending lots of positive vibes your way (and some ) to speed your healing along.

Doreen, I live with my daughter so our pups always have be of us.. If we travel together, the pups come along (which would mean offsite if we ever get to WDW together with Sophia).

Back home (Cambridge/Boston) we had a close friend who would come stay with them.

But....December is not going to happen for me after all. Dr strongly recommended I stay home unless I could be in a wheelchair and I will not do that to my friends. I am no lightweight, so no way I would want them pushing me around. I will be here helping them plan now!

I was telling one of the QA investigators today about my December trip with 4 complete strangers , she was flabagasted that I would even consider going away with strangers . She thinks I should get throw away phone to use if I need helpLittle does she know that I will be the one cutting up!!!

Yes! I'm closer to these ladies than some people I know in my day to day life! I think after chatting and sharing our lives since 2008/2009 for me, you guys lost stranger status a long time ago!! Rosie, you are a more recent new friend, but I'm sure it won't be long until we feel like we've known each other forever! Disney friends are the BEST friends!

I agree Marie !!! But it took a while for Judy to understand this and she was not to happy about me meeting Dissers !! Now she has met many and agrees Dissers are great!!! I had to chuckle as this gal also new Dan and said he is such a Disney fanatic he even goes on this thing called the Dis !!!

Why would you have to be in a wheelchair?. Oh Christine I wondered why you mentioned giving me money when we go in May on my TR . I am so very sorry to hear this. You have all been planning this for so long. Rosie must be so sad that you are nit going.

So thankful the narcotics are out of your system - those. Are me terribly ill as well. Do you have a non-narcotic to take that will help pain? Lots of healing PD and prayer, dear friend.
