Okay, this is getting bizarre - still the same this morning! It appears anyone off line has 5 gold stars where the green light would be...and still no avatar for me.

Decided to get check the DIS in the old laptop - no one has the 5 gold stars, but I still do not have an avatar. Thank goodness because was getting worried it was the iPad - I don't have the extra coverage and I'd be out a whole lot of $$$$. We bought on line at Best Buy. I was in a hurry and forgot to check for the extended apple care ..or whatever it's called. I miss having a laptop (well, one I can actually use to type, ).

Maybe if I add a little something to my Coke, everything will look fine again!!!

Had a few free minutes and was looking at some guest photos and reviews of Marriott Grand Vista - it is very pretty! Several guests mentioned to be sure to look at a map and request a location and to request a view (some had trees blocking the balconies). I guess it was built around the golf course so can be a hike, but the place looks very pretty and TROPICAL!! One guest said it's about a 20 min drive to WDW, but we'll be up bright and early and ready for rope drop!

I've never stayed off site so it will be a new experience. We did stay in Disney Village in the 80's a couple of times, when the 3 Disney resorts did not have availablility - back then Disney buses serviced all Disney Village hotels...and we could stroll right into the Village...aka DTD now. The Hilton was nice - had plenty of sort of Disney themeing (is that a word?).

With LindaI think Linda is on vacation don't know about the wannabees !!!! Still can't book flights yet as SW only up to November hopefully next month!!!! I really think I need to be back for the Wednesday , but that still gives me 6 nights !!!

Thanks, Sheila. It must be something with our Internet provider - it has been terrible ever since we switched.

With LindaI think Linda is on vacation don't know about the wannabees !!!! Still can't book flights yet as SW only up to November hopefully next month!!!! I really think I need to be back for the Wednesday , but that still gives me 6 nights !!!

Once I know if Sophia and I are going in August, then I can think about flights for December. Will have to remember to check Charlotte now - sure wish Allegiant would go directly to MCO, like most of their flights, instead of Sanford.

All ready for the Family Universal trip? Can't wait to hear all about it and see lots of pics! Haven't been there since it opened and we got in for free twice! I think a lot of the attractions we went on are gone now. It was fun, but way to hot in August, especially since there is less shade and cannot stroll through as many shops as at Disney. Love walking through shops to cool off in the heat!

In an effort to save $$$ I stopped the internet there telling myself I could always walk down the street to the library but I never made it there! Cell service is horrible there but I did manage to read but posting was a real pain!!! For some reason I can get and send texts but calls not so much!

Have to agree about August !! I could handle it by myself BUT with the family the heat was too much and tempers were frayed !!! I really love October I think it is my favorite time of the year at Disney!! Maybe that is why we keep doing P &P trips there in October
