3 Grannies, Disney Dancing & Deviltry! Oh, my!!

Maybe we could eat at a CS before seeing Bob?

Every TS meal being $25 per person is a bit more than I was expecting. Of course prices have gone up in 3 years. ::yes::

I don't think each TS will cost $25 .... Kona breakfast will be less, so will Prime Time .... of course it also depends on what you order to drink and if you order dessert. Once it's decided where we are eating I think that by looking at the menu you'll be able to get pretty close to what your food budget should be.

Just to let you know when I'm there with my family we only usually do one TS meal a day ... once in awhile we might have a breakfast and a dinner but that isn't the norm. I'm not much help with CS service .... the only ones we ever eat at are some in Epcot, EOS, WPE and FTBB. On our MK day we take a boat over to WCC, split a turkey sandwich and french fries and each get a milkshake. At HS we just usually eat at Prime Time .... split the pot roast and each get a milkshake. Guess you now know one thing about me .... I LOVE milkshakes! :thumbsup2

I'm hoping that the dinner ADRs for the family part of my trip will be BOG, Sanaa, Le Cellier, and maybe Cindy's castle. Lunch ADR Chefs de France and lunch without ADR WCC. We'll also eat at Paradiso 37 but not sure if for dinner or lunch. If the Grannies don't eat at Boatwrights I think I'll do that with the family before we go see Piano Bob. Other options to fill out the dinner ADRs would be Coral Reef and/or Rose and Crown.

As soon as I get an idea on what parks I'll do each day I'll fill in the ADRs for the day .... we might want to do the same for our part of the trip.

I am sure enough of us will want to share - except no sharing my fried chicken :rotfl: (if I ever get to Trail's End! ;) )

The Plaza is another great place to share a sandwich and have a milkshake. ::yes:: I love Milkshakes too but the things go right through me, so must be careful. I'll enjoy a yummy dessert. ;)

Oh and I am sure we will try BOG - if not an ADR at least for lunch! I forgot all about BOG.

I do have favorite CS in the MK ....well, like them all and all but Crystal Palace for TS (too spicy for me).

Have only eaten at TS in WS - have a few favorites. Menus change so will check out whichever ones we are considering to be sure I can order something.:thumbsup2

HS - enjoy Sci Fi and Prime Time (Sci Fi is my favorite for atmosphere, but PT for food).

Ak - just one!! FTBBQ :goodvibes

DTD - EOS and Capt'n Jacks.

Resorts- Ft. Wilderness Trail's End, Poly Ohana breakfast (Kona was expensive and nothing to write home about, but am happy to go back!), GF Cafe for breakfast, WL Roaring Forks, but would not go out of the way to eat there.

This is going to be fun! I am just wondering how early we will have to get up to have breakfast and make rope drop since it is no longer a slow time, especially. At MK. ::yes::

I am definately up for Boatwights' before Piano Bob, I will check the menu to see if there is sharable meals so Christine and I can share !! I would prefer R & C at Epcot !!!

Going to check out the menu now!!

R&C instead of Via Napoli?

Boatwright's:
Apps - Bourbon Barbecue Shrimp - sounds so good!! Don't know if I could eat it, but it sure sounds yummy!!

Well, it looks like Boatwright's is very Cajun and would be far too spicy for moi. :( You all could eat there and I could grab something in the food court! ::yes::

I pick Via Napoli if it is only 1:goodvibes

:woohoo: Mia brought home $65 in unused Disney Gift Cards - which she insisted I keep for a future trip! The gift cards were part of my Christmas gift to them as I didn't want them to worry about food or souvenir cost. She said they did not skimp at all. "Aunt Janet's" very sweet Christmas gift to Sophia was a Disney gift card - Sophia was so excited and considered her personal Disney credit card.:goodvibes Mia said she really enjoyed using it and did very well giving it to the CMs - no shyness then! ;) BIG hugs to Aunt Janet!

The Teacups were her favorite - she kept telling her dad "faster, faster, Daddy!". Three times in a row in the morning, then again before Wishes!

They arrived home last night - Sophia and I ate supper together and chatted about Disney. She mentioned our trip and I said that she might not want to go with Nana because I am afraid of the attractions that go up high (even Dumbo, Magic Carpet, Astro) - "That's okay, Nana, there are still lots of things we can do together". Be still my heart:love: Now to find a time of year - it is still quite crowded the end of August, but I need time to pay for the trip...when to go together other than late August? Mia wants to find a school for her next year and with Sophia's adjustment issues, it would not be good to take her out even for a few days.

Mia did book a BB - of course, it has to be in her name...I could take a chance and try to check in without her. The resorts have allowed the second adult to check in but things are always changing - how awful if they would not let us check in without Mia!!

Janet, Jeannette, Rosie, hope you are feeling much better today.

 Have a great Sunday, everyone!

Sounds like Sophia is hooked !!!:goodvibes:cool1:Great that you have $65 for our trip!!!!! I will be buying Disney cards later this month and each month till December !! If we are having 3 days on site , I know you want Trails' End and that is fine ,we could also do R &C and Sci Fi !! I really want to do Via Napoli with the group, the Pizza is soooooo sharable and then you and I could share that proscetta and melon appie :banana: By the way Judy says I am sick planning vacation around FOOD!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Christine & Rosie if you are planning 3 nights onsite do you know how many nights you will be staying in the timeshare and which nights that might be? Also I was thinking ... always a dangerous thing to do .... that maybe you want to make the breakfast reservations for the days you are onsite ... especially if you plan to eat and then still make rope drop.

I think Christine wants to stay on site the 3 nights at the end and is saying to do ddp those 3 days !!Which is all fine with me . I was thinking ( an even more dangerous thing) of staying in the timeshare from 5th thru the 8th(4 nights and then 3 nights on site. Soo Christine is this our plan !!! ???

Whatever you say, Rosie!!:thumbsup2

I bet seeing Yeehaw Bob with you guys would be a hoot! Please take lots of pictures (and a little video wouldn't hurt either).

Please, I don't even want to think about the shenanigans!!!:rotfl2::rotfl: Linda and I will be watching from the lobby seating area. :rolleyes1:rotfl:

Question for all you DDP experts .... is BOG one credit or two? I haven't used the plan since Disney starting taking away items and yet still raising the price.

I just looked it up on allears: Lunch is CS, of course, and dinner is one TS credit. :)

I've only used the DDP twice. Prices have gone up quite a bit the last few years, and my budget took a nose dive, so the convenience of having it paid in advance is more appealing now than years ago. :thumbsup2

BOG is a CS for lunch and 1 TS for dinner !!! I definately want to do the cs there with all of you guys, those cupcakes look amazing , can I just have 2 or 3 of them for lunch:confused3:rotfl2::rotfl2:

The first time the family went to Disney and also my first ever Disney trip, DDP was 1 cs, 1 ts and 1 sc a day BUT the TS included appies and the tip !!!:goodvibes Oh for those days !!!! Now at least they give you a resort mug with ddp, but of course the price went up !! I guess they figured out to stop people bringing back the mugs , give 'em to them !!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Christine, that great news about Mia giving you back $65 for you to use!! :dance3: Happy that Sophia enjoyed having her own Disney "credit card" ::MinnieMo She is sure a cutie! :cutie:

I bet seeing Yeehaw Bob with you guys would be a hoot! Please take lots of pictures (and a little video wouldn't hurt either).

I will have my camera and phone ... which both record video! ::yes::

What are you suggesting we would do????:confused3;):hyper::lmao:

With you Rosie, probably anything is possible!! :cool1:

Now, Christine, don't let Linda fool you, she was getting into the whole Yehaa-Bob thing as well! ::yes::

Rosie, the first year my family all went in 2006... Sam was a child, DS and DH and I are Disney adults....the Reg DP was $37.99, Sam was $10.99 and it did include appetizers and tip.... what a steal today, huh? Our friends who also came with us, just couldn't be talked into taking it...they thought it was too much money!!
