It's like re-living that day all over again, so awesome! I have taken each of my boys now on mother/son trips before they start middle school, and I cannot recommend it highly enough if it is a possibility for all you moms, something so special about that one on one! I will take my DD in a few years of course she is already planning!

Can't wait to see the big meet, so much fun was had!

Clearly Heather will have to teach me how to make my pictures smaller!

there’s just two of ya??

So Steven hasn't had much selfie practice? Just you wait...

No worries! Much easier to maneuver through crowds with only two bodies.

I know what you mean - we move much faster w/o DH, unless we're heading to an ADR, then he goes so fast, we can draft off of him

Of course we get a picture on Main Street! Who doesn’t??! And notice our most fashionable gray Magic Bands Didn't have time to get our colored "monogramed" bands, so we had to go with mnemonic gray...BORING Stephen says!

I'm with Steven on this one. Why didn't you re-use your MBs from July and save the poor kid the embarrassment of looking like a MBNewb?

Stephen thought this was hilarious…me not so much. But then again, I really didn’t care. Ya know, I could wear a poncho like some people do … DisneyDoc5 ( I won’t mention any real names…cough – cough )

And while we were riding the People Mover, Stephen and I decided to play a little game (compliments of KOOK – this was her brilliant idea ). So here ya go… Wave at everyone down below and see how many people wave back. Well…. Apparently we weren’t doing something right or just completely looked like crazed fools…because we got ZERO waves….zilch….nada…nothing!! I need some pointers, please, KOOK!

Maybe the problem was you looked like TTA/PM newbies. You've really got to get into it - BIG waves and SMILES, just like Miss America. First down below and then as the other PMs pass you try and engage them with your HUGE wave, too. This is Disney social interaction at its finest. It's all or nothing and guests can spot insincerity a mile away - so don't be shy. Smiles everyone, smiles!

Another great thing about traveling with one person…much easier to shop!! Stephen and I went into every shop on Main Street!! By this time it was misting rain (no big deal…we have ponchos!) We had to get our crazy hat shot. too. Of course there was no one to make the picture, so another selfie it is.

So now the poncho is cool?

We were hungry …again. Captain Cooks was calling my name!!! Especially the nachos!!

About this time, I get a text from Erin that says they are in Orlando!!!! OMG!!! They’re here!!! We (Stephen and I) were seriously both excited. Stephen was asking me tons of questions about Erin and Caleb…most of which I could answer. The best one…. “Mom, do they talk weird??” No weirder than us, son….trust me.

That is too funny. Did you warn him about those ponchos they wear ALL the time since they aren't from the South?

Ugh - that first shot of the crowds going into the MK - the August crowds - I’m having flash-backs to our 2013 trip and flash-forwards to our 2015 trip. (And then you go and tell me it wasn’t so bad after all! )

Yep....girlfriend. And she happens to be in my class Nothing serious of course since they're only 13....or at least I hope! Not looking forward to these teenage years...AT ALL!

Hungry thinking about those things!! It was kinda weird because you couldn't see out of the windows. They had some tropical foliage scene on the outside.

Well, that's a novel idea, isn't it??? Unfortunately I chunked those suckers in the trash because I had no intentions of going back to Disney so soon! Who knew??!! So yes....we had to look like MBNewbs!

Crowds really weren't bad. We happened to arrive at the same time the big boat was unloading...hence all the people.

And yes, my Stephen has a girlfriend. And I actually teach her! Very nice girl. Hoping it doesn't get too serious. We're not looking forward to these teenage years.

Animal Kingdom Lodge Meet & Greet!!!



I last left you with … “It’s time to meet my dear friend!!” EXCITED we are!!!! Stephen and I drove over to AKL, parked and literally sprinted into the resort!!! Erin and Caleb had not arrived yet, so we ventured around a bit. I won’t bore you with tons of AKL pics…you’ve probably seen enough of those in my other TR.




I will share a couple though…











Love this place!!!!








The Magical Express finally arrived and they unloaded!!! After hugs and laughs, Erin was checked into the CL room. We quickly dropped off our belongings, took a quick peek at the savannah (no animals!!! ), headed to the lounge to grab a bite to eat, then ran to the bus. Erin and Caleb had FPs for 7DMT that they had to make!

So Erin and I gabbed the entire way to the MK! Laughing, chatting…probably annoying everyone around us with our overly enthusiastic attitudes. And as we are pulling up to the MK and the music starts playing, Erin says…”Think I’m going to cry!” The boys just look at her and laugh..



Caleb decided to ham it up…fits right in with my family!!

We’re 5 minutes into the MK and already having a blast. The boys hit it off right away….thank goodness, right?!










Stephen and I couldn’t get FPs to 7DMT but no huge deal at all!! We just did it in June, so we were good. I captured a few great action shots…

Little Mermaid, anyone??? Erin and I didn’t shut up through the entire queue, nor did we hush during the ride! The boys had plenty of fun being silly…









Earlier in the day, KOOK tells me I have to try LeFous Brew…this was after the “game” that she insisted on us playing Would you believe that Erin mentioned it, too?! Great minds think alike! So time for Stephen and I to try this renowned beverage.

I’ve never stepped foot in this place, and since that was the case…lots of pictures were made!!







This is a great little place to rest, relax, or just look around and enjoy the décor.

At some point we rode Buzz Light Year…













And here we go again running our mouths….caught on camera! I actually think we were trying to find the camera so we could pose for the shot. Jokes on us!!







Stephen was having such a great time with Caleb! He’s not use to having someone his own age to hang out with at Disney.














Not sure where I was or what I was doing…but I completely missed this! Erin captured the boys busting a few dance moves on the sidewalk













We all had FPs for Space Mountain; however…..I was NOT gonna take a chance and get ill. Captured some beautiful shots of the castle while I waited! The sun was just setting, so it made for a great backdrop!











Couldn’t choose just one….sorry!








We made our way over to Frontierland to find spots for the parade. Erin introduced me to a fabulous new place to watch the festivities…. I hate to give away our secrets, but I must share. Right in front of the Shootin’ Arcade is the best!!! The boys were able to do a bit of “target practice” and enjoy some sweet treats.







Erin enjoyed a “sweet” turkey leg! Stephen got the real thing, but I can’t seem to locate the picture that was made.







So excited to see this parade with my dear Disney friend!!! So special!!!











We basically closed the park down, folks!!! Grabbed a bite to eat at Casey’s Corner then as we were leaving, we timed the “Kiss Goodnight” perfectly! Walked out onto Main Street and it was about to transpire! Couldn’t believe it! In all my years at Disney, I’ve never experienced it. Not that it’s a huge deal to most, but something that I think is really cool. Erin and I stood in the middle of Main Street and almost cried. Stephen and Caleb were looking at us like we were crazy Disney nuts. Oh wait….we ARE crazy Disney nuts!




The four of us were able to ride tons of stuff…just didn’t want to bore you with EVERY ride.



Off to the AKL we go!!! We have an early morning….DHS it is!!! Rope Drop, people….Rope Drop!!!

I know. We were so crunched for time. We were at Pop one night, then MK, the AKL, then DHS, then home...crazy!

So you were upgraded to a deluxe room RPC What pixiedust??!!! Awesome, Sue! Of course that will spoil you! Maybe I should have paid you a visit





Thanks, Pas! Glad school is off to a good start. Funny how time flies. Can't believe we've already been in school 1 month. That means only 8 months until my cruise!!!





You will hear about it I have to share my pics I noticed your ticker says 3 weeks. You and Roni are the only people I know who have eternal trips reports

I know right? We had amazing pixie dust ya should've come over, you would not believe the size of that room, and RPC lounge was amazing. Yup, spoiled for ever now!!

When we moved to a regular GF room it looked tiny by comparisson lol. And logically I know they are pretty spacious rooms, having stayed last year!!

We also had amazing pixie dust at Portofino, had a beautiful balcony overlooking the bay.

I won't hijack your thread with my trip, but will PM you!!

Back at school this week

We did TL our first day at Wdw, love wave pool, Crush'n gusher, and shark reef! But yikes that water is cold!! It was sooooo hot the part of August we were there, it was ok!! I have to agree about family raft, BB is do much better.

Love Bills videos!! Good thing he found it!! My youngest daughter lost her sun glasses in wave pool

We've stayed at Pop twice for late arrival days. Cute resort but tiny rooms. It was fine for 2 of us, when it's just me & Ashley, but don't think I'd want to stay with more in room!

2 more dsys of work, first week getting back is sooooo exhausting!!
Next Monday going in for knee surgery! So I'll have plenty of spare time while home to tell you all about our August trip

And guess what? I've already booked next August .
