Hi!

We're still just hanging in here. Job search is still on-going. Unfortunately, Ed was a little over-qualified for the job with Gulfstream, so it looks like we won't be neighbors. He's had 3 more interviews this week. One of them went especially well & we are just waiting to find out if he's made it on to the next round. Hopefully, we'll find out tomorrow & we're praying it'll be good news. He also has another interview (in the city we live in) on Monday. We're really, really praying that goes well. I'm just praying he'll have something by Thanksgiving & we can start planning what's next for our family. Thanks for thinking about us.

Well...I'm disappointed that we won't be neighbors, but glad he's had so many interviews....especially the one in your town Did anything ever come of Georgia Pacific? Please tell him that we wish him the best of luck on Monday!!

We are back!!! I will start the TR when I get my PhotoPass CD - probably next week. But do you think anyone will read it???? The other thing is that I just switched from a MS-based computer to Mac, and I am still getting used to the different ways of uploading pics and stuff.

But I will be starting soon. I took notes each evening, and I always do a mini-TR on FB, so it will be so much fun to do a more detailed one for people who actually care about Disney trips!

Wish I could help with the Mac, but don't have a clue You'll need to download your pictures to Photobucket or something similar...then copy them to your TR. That's a bit of a pain...not hard, just time consuming. I had lots of help from several Disers. If you have a question about pictures and links, just PM me and I'll be happy to help. And YES!!! People will read it You've probably read and looked at enough TRs that you won't have a problem. I'm looking forward to following along

Please get a picture of Mickey signing the cast!!! That would be a great shot to put in a frame....and post on the DisBoards!

I am still getting caught up with all my DIS threads and have to say I feel back to normal this morning after sitting here with my cup of joe reading your TR

I would have to say MK is mine also, it just to me is Disney, walking down Main St. , FantasyLand , the Castle and the Fireworks. I grew up(was 2 when DL opened) dreaming of going to DL. I think I wore out my view master of DL I had and watching the World of Disney was a weekly event over at my one aunts house. Then too the first time I finally got to WDW in '89 there was only MK and Epcot, MGM did not open until a month after we went. Yep definately MK with WS in Epcot running a close 2nd

I added the Hidden Mickeys book to my list of "things to buy" (it seems that list is never done"
Just last night(sometime after midnight) I crossed off the earbuds(see link) I had listed, since it seems I always end up paying for the ones on the airplane
plus they also will make good stocking stuffers

Heather - I was wondering about your sister this evening, the Governor had a news conference and the the President and CEO of CL&P was on afterwards taking questions etc. I think they said there are still 175,000 without power and they will have 99% up and with power by tomorrow, 31 hours from the time of the news conference. I seriously doubt it there is part of a main drag not far from out still out , the one intersection you take your life in your hands to get thru it, 5 ways with each way 2 lanes not even a cop there it is busy as all get out too.
I hope your sis gets her power back soon it is a real hardship once it goes past a few days.

No word from my sister today. She's in Boston for the weekend...nice little getta-way from the confusion in CT. Hopefully when she returns they will have power.

Why not?? The holidays will be over, and I won't have anything fun to look forward to until July. Might as well keep the Disney love going as long as possible through the deep dark winter.

Only downfall is I may have to go back to work. But, we will give it a few months & then we'll see.

I feel like the weight of the world has been lifted from my shoulders. Ed told me last night it was the first time he had seen me really smile in a month. He started the job today and he really likes it. Knock on wood....it's going very well and I just pray it continues that way.

Yes, our October 2012 trip is still on....as of now. I'll just have to get Ed to make sure he can have some time off then. He'll probably wait a few months before asking. But, we have already made one change and I'm pretty sure I'll be making one more. First change: As much as it pained me, I moved us from CR to POFQ. I just could not justify the price right now....we figure the Contemporary isn't going anywhere, so we'll stay there one day. But, I've pretty much already decided that I'm going to use our timeshare instead so I'll most likely be canceling POFQ. I'm hoping that I'll be able to trade into DVC. If not, we'll just stay offsite at the Hilton timeshare....it's really nice & not far at all from Disney.

I think you're right!!! It's not like the CR is going to disappear! So glad you will still be able to go October is such a great time! I'm so hoping that we can take the kids back to MNSSHP next Fall....they love it! Just do a super quick trip...like 2 nights at a Value and the party. We'll see....
