I have never stayed onsite before and am looking for any recommendations, please tell me your 3 favorite restaurants either at the resorts or the parks and I would love to know your favorite meal at the restaurants if you would like to share that information. As always I really appreciate the information I get from all the great people on this board.
Thanks,Kata :)

Lecellier strip steak, choc bread pudding( now defunct)

brown derby strip steak( rarely get steak but these 2 are both really good), coconut shrimp appe

whispering canyon jethro's pork chops ( again not something i would normally get as i usually get seafood but these were fantastic) i think this rest. is fun while really i like it better for breakfst but this meal was one of the best i had last trip

we usually get lousy meals at the ones everyone reccomends( except lc ) and good meals at the ones people think are lousy...go figure

le cellier at epcot worldshowcase canada, cozy stone ambiance with fireplace, superb food we love the canadian bacon cheddar soup & filet mignon with white truffel potatoes, yum.

cinderellas royal table at the magic kingdom inside the castle which is so neat, we like to have dinner during the mk fireworks which you can partially see out the windows, we like the potpie.

boma at the animal kingdom lodge which is a buffet & has an abundance of yummy american/ethnic foods & delicious stuffed french toast for breakfast.

hope you have a great trip onsite at wdw!

I have to second jann1033:
Whispering Canyon Cafe: Jeffro's Glazed Pork Chops - grilled pork chops with Yukon Gold mashed potatoes and fresh corn

Ohana's: (buffet but my favorites are) Honey Coriander Chicken Wings, Shrimp and Vegetable Wontons, Mesquite Seasoned Turkey, and that WONDERFUL peanut dipping sauce.

1900 Park Fare breakfast: (again a buffet) best in show goes to the Strawberry Soup!!!!

Other than a couple of spots at Epcot, we prefer the resort restaurants as they don't tend to be as crowded and have better food as a general rule.

LeCellier,
California Grill,
50's Prime Time Cafe.

That is if we can't include the HDD which is a dinner show. The food is not haute cuisine, but the total package is great!

Le Cellier
Boma
Cinderella's Royal Table -- all for dinner

Flame Tree BBQ
50's Prime Time
Sci-Fi -- all for lunch

Restaurantosaurus
Chef Mickey's
Whispering Canyon Cafe -- all for breakfast

/// Our Top 3 Character Meals ///

My favorites are:

*Narcoossee's
*1900 Park Fare (Dinner or Breakfast)
*Alfredo's

I also love Wolfgang Puck Express in the Marketplace.

My favorites in order are....

1. The Plaza
2. Crystal Palace
3. Somerset (in Germany Epcot)

1. O'Hana....we like everything there! The atmosphere is great. Views across the lagoon to the castle are awesome. The wait staff is very friendly and accomodating. This is the only WDW restaurant my family unanimously agrees is their favorite!!!

2. Crystal Palace (ok, so I keep picking buffets...but we have teenage boys!!). Everyone gets plenty to eat, the staff is excellent, and the restaurant is very pretty. If you're lucky...you get another awesome view of the castle! (can you tell I love that castle?)

3. Rainforest. We have eaten at both the AK and DTD locations. This is one place the boys pick every time we go. The atmosphere is fantastic, we have always had very good service, and feel like we get our money's worth here. I love the Buffalo Chicken Salad and the Rasta Pasta. The boys love their pizza!

I have to say that we have been very lucky. Overall, we have never had a truly terrible dining experience on Disney property...or elsewhere in Orlando for that matter. Until this last trip....we made the mistake of eating at Planet Hollywood. I would not waste my time or money going there. Just a little heads up...I wish someone had warned us!!!!

Thanks for the great replies,I am glad to see my restaurant choices seem to be very popular, please keep them coming!!!
Thanks!!!! :)
