This will be my 7th year walking the 3-day walk. I think until you have walked the walk you won't understand what a Life Changing Experience it is for you. The people you meet along the way and the things that you see while walking is so amazing.
The thought process behind the 3 days and 60 miles is that if a cancer patient can go thru the chemo and treatments, I can walk 60 miles in 3-day to bring awareness to the Cause.
Cancer patients have so much more to go thru. At the end of the 3-days my committment is over but they will still have to deal with this in their life.
A lady that I walked with one year who was walking for her Sister started a web-site selling you pink ribbon items that you can turn around and sell to raise funds for your 3-day walk fundraising. She also give you a breakdown of how you can sell those items for a certain price and shows you how to make the money that you need. She started out with just Breast Cancer items but has moved into a bunch more causes.
I am not sure if I can post her web site here or not but if anyone is interesting in it just pm me and I will give the information to you.
