Hello...I'm new to the board and have a question I was hoping someone could help me with...

Is it possible to purchase only a 3 day/2 night UPH? We are arriving late our first night and I don't want to pay for a 4 day UPH, as we would not be able to use the first day. When I made our ressie, CRO told me it is not possible to purchase a UPH for 2 nights only, you must purchase a 3 night minimum. But the Disney website gives me a quote for the 3 day/2 night UPH, but won't let me purchase it- it says I have to call.

I thought I remembered reading it's possible to drop the first or last day off your UPH, but I don't know if it can be done with only a 3 night stay?? I asked the agent about making 2 separate ressies - the first for one night only and a second ressie for 2 nights... he said "good idea" but there is a 3 night minimum for the UPH so it wouldn't be possible. Has anyone been able to do this?? Thanks.

I'm not certain, but I think what you can do is purchase at check in.

If you do that, they'll let you drop your arrival OR departure day. (But not both) The disadvantage here is that you won't get an advance purchase discount.

If you purchase in advance, you have to purchase it for your arrival day right through your check out day. If that's what you want, I think you should be able to do it.

But someone with more experience should be able to help you out! :)

If you purchase it at check in you will be able to do this. I have done it with no problems several times.

If you are on a package you won't be able to.

What you can do is make a room only reservation for your first night. Then make a separate reservation for the rest of your time and get UPH for those days. This way you can get the advance purchase discount on the tickets. They only thing is that since you'll have 2 reservations, you'll need to check out after that first night and check back in. You shouldn't have a problem staying in the same room. This is the way we're doing it when we go. I know it may sound a little complicated but from what I've read, it's done all the time. HTH

Thanks for your help and quick replies everyone... I called back and spoke to a different CM... she said it was no problem splitting my reservation and adding the 2 night UPH to the second reservation... she even put a note on the ressie asking that we not have to switch rooms for the second part

Guess it makes a difference who you talk to! Thanks for your replies.

It is really funny how things change from CM to CM!!! I guess Disney is just like every other place - it depends on who you talk to! But the good thing about that is that there are SO MANY CM's the possibilities seem to work a little in your favor if you just are patient and "learn the ropes".

I am really glad that you were able to get things like you wanted them!!!

Have a GREAT trip!!!
