I’m curious if anyone thinks the 3 day ticket is steering crowds away from MK? I just checked 4 diff crowd calendars for Aug 10-14 and was surprised to see AK w some of the highest projections??

I think DAK crowds/wait times are looking higher due to the closures of attractions in Dinoland and It's Tough to be a Bug. Fewer attractions push wait times higher at the remaining.

I probably should have phrased that differently - I guess I’m more surprised that there are enough guests utilizing the 3 day ticket to hold the crowd projections down. However, as was suggested, it could also be a reflection of reduced options and the resulting increase in wait times.

I have in the past used the 3 day ticket along with an After Hours event at MK. I won't be back to WDW until February, I wish they offered the 3 day ticket then.

Maybe, but I would bet that other factors, like high prices, hot temps, and fewer foreign visitors play a bigger role.

I am guessing those of us that bought the 3-day ticket simply added on a day at MK.

For us it cost:
3-day tickets (1 Park/Day) + a day at MK this year - $466.64 with tax
4 day tickets last year - $421.74
So its $45 more this year for the same deal.

While I would have loved to see the 4 day 1park/day each park ticket it still cheaper than a standard 4-day ticket one our date 636.43

We are going for a week in July but planning on the heat by only doing 1 park a day with pool days in-between as opposed going to a park everyday like we usually do.

In September, my friends and I are going to two MNSSHPs, so I also just bought the three park ticket.

We opted for the 3 park deal + MNSSHP - and we will focus on rides during MNSSHP. Although if the crowd predictors are accurate the low crowds for MK most days are tempting, and we may change from MNSSHP to a one day ticket at MK - but I am worried about evening crowds at MK given the new Starlight Parade.

Summer isn't the peak crowd season that it was years ago. While the 3-park ticket may be helping to distribute crowds to other parks, I do think most savvy park-goers crunched the numbers and realized that the 3-day ticket plus a 1-day MK ticket was still a great deal. So they are just using a separate MK ticket.
