I am not a military personnel but my friend is. He bought us tickets 3 day disneyland military special so that we can use them for my daughter's birthday and he will not be able to come with us to activate the tickets since he will be deployed. Are there any alternatives to getting there without having the person who bought us the tickets military ID ? Thanks for your feedback

Well, the service member is supposed to be there (or their dependent) with the valid ID. I've read people say on here that they weren't asked to show their military ID, but I've also read people say they were asked three times in one day. Are your names printed on the tickets? Military members ARE allowed to give them to friends, it's not that it's not allowed, just that it says military ID may be required. If your names are printed on them you'll have an easier time just saying they were a gift.

No they don't have our names, they have the name of the person who purchased them for us.

My understanding is that it if is the $99 3 day pass then you have to enter with the military id that purchased it each day or you cant enter. If it is the normal military passes that are last time i got them for 3 days about 180 or so then you dont have to show the ID to get in.

Someone with a valid military ID must be there to activate the tickets, there are no exceptions. I've had to show it each and every time I've activated tickets.

Once activated I've never had to show an ID i.e. for park entry.

Sorry but the whole idea behind these tickets is for the military member to go to the Disney parks with family and friends to de-stress, not for acquaintances to go on their own.

This is all true. We are military and have AP's and I wanted to give two of our tickets to some good friends so he could propose to her and was told while I was on base buying the tickets that if my husband or I were not there they would not be able to pick up their tickets or get in. We had to scrap that idea and find another way to help him make the moment magical.
