Hi my dear fellow DIS'ers. I would like your opinions/advice.

Last weekend I booked a spur of the moment WDW trip for myself and my DD, 7. Stayin onsite at All Stars Movies, we plan to do 1 park a day. Here is my question. I am considering adding on a 3 day Wonder cruise. Is this too much? I don't mean financailly.
I mean the stress factor.

At first I thought it would be too much. But then I thought it would actually be a nice tme to relax without all the running around of WDW.

This trip is very special for Tess and me. We are making new Disney World memories to replace some unpleasant ones. And we're celebrating my freedom from cigarettes.

Sorry for the rambling. Really looking for support, would welcome opinions!

A loyal DIS'er,

Ursula

Go for it, Ursula, it will be all the more a special trip!

That being said, pace yourselves on vacation. Pick the highlights you definitely want to take in, let the rest be gravy - don't try to pack too much in!!!

I'm sure you'll have a wonderful trip, no matter what you decide!:sunny:

Go for it, it will be worth it. Talk about great new memories.

That's fast!! Thank you.

Stress factor??? Believe me, there is absolutely NO stress factor on a Disney cruise. It will be the most relaxing, magical time of your lives. Go for it!

Second - you will LOVE the cruise....I thought the same thing when we did the land/sea in May...but it was WONDERFUL! We did 1 park a day as well for the 4 days prior to the cruise - loved it!

Relax, relax, relax...stress? What is stress....there is NO stress on a Disney Cruise. That is until it's over and you start to worry about how long it may be before you can do it all over again ::yes::

I've been on two other Disney cruises-4 night Wonder 1/03 and Western Magic 2/04.

Both with other family members and without WDW. My last WDW trip was not a happy one.

I think I'm trying to justify the extra expense of the cruise. Having been on the longer cruises, would a 3 day be enough?

OMG, after reading this, I sound like I'm whining! Please pardon me everyone. I don't sound grateful for my many blessings, but truly I am. Every once in a while I need an attitude adjustment.

I got it. While I was typing "...be enough?", I thought of Nate Page laying on the sand at Castaway Cay.

God bless his soul.

Sigh, I warned you-I ramble. Thank you all for your support.

We can usually only get away for 1 week at a time, so to us the 'perfect' Disney vacation is to arrive on Sunday at WDW and stay there through Wednesday, then head over to the DCL on Thursday for a 3 night cruise.

You will have a wonderful time. The cruise is a wonderful and relaxing way to end a vacation.

Relax for three days after doing the parks. Perfect! Congrats on quitting...I did it seven years ago, so glad I did. Send me a PM if you get the urge and I'll help you thru it!

Thanks, Colleen.
