3 Australians Attempt to eat the World! - Updated 24 October

I really like your reviews, especially the creme brulee. I am thinking that on our next trip if brulee is on the menu we have to order it, so I will be looking forward to your reviews.

Your reviews are great! I'm laughing at the photos of the half eaten/eaten food. When doing my first dining review recently I think that I started eating every single time before my sister would remind me to take a photo! :lmao: It's hard to remember to take a photo when they set that yummy food down in front of you! You have great ADRs and I can't wait to read more!

really enjoying your photos and reviews. see you're also a regular disneyland visitor. With relatives in Adelaide I'm interested to know how long it takes you to get to LA and how long to get to Orlando. Looking forward to more.

Hi Chocolate Minnie!

Thank you. Yes have been an avid visitor to DL for many years now.

From Melbourne it takes just on 14 hours to get to LA - it is then another 5-6 hours to Orlando - depending on the flight.

Adelaide is another hour and a bit from Melbourne.

My trip back home this time around was a long one - from the time they picked us up from POFQ with ME until the time I walked through the door at home it was 32 hours!! I had a couple of delays and stop-overs along the way!! The trip was still worth it though!!

Hi
Great reviews! Thanks for sharing!!

Thank you!:thumbsup2

Enjoying your reviews. I got very hungry looking at your desserts at Chefs. We have have done lunch there the last two trips & I love the quiche. They have a 3course deal at lunch too:cool1:

Maybe I will try Chef's for lunch next time - so long as they have creme brulee!:cutie:

Chefs food looked great. Thanks for the reviews.

You are welcome!:goodvibes

Thank you! Stay tuned - more brulee to come!!!:worship:

Great reviews! Only problem is I might have to change back to HBD again!

Sorry! Don't you just hate that!!!:rolleyes1

Thank you. It was hard to remember to take the photo. Once I saw the food I just wanted to eat!!:rotfl: My Dad who is useless at remembering most things was really good with this - it was usually him who reminded me to take the photo once I had started!!

I had really been looking forward to dinner tonight after hearing Pete rave about the restaurant on the podcast...

Yes we went to Yachtsman Steakhouse!

Although the restaurant was far from full they did make us wait for our table - maybe 15 minutes which I thought a little strange...but we got over that pretty quickly!

First there was the yummy bread...oh so good! But must remember...good steak to come – don’t fill up on bread...but I couldn’t help it!!!

Then...I ordered the Filet, Dad went with the New York Strip, and Mum just to be different went with the deconstructed Beef Wellington

This was so good. The Filet was AMAZING!!! So amazing...this is what I left...

Dad was incredibly happy with the Strip, and Mum very much enjoyed the Wellington (although deep down I think she had food envy!)

We also decided to have alcoholic beverages with our meal tonight – (no photo sorry) – and this time it’s not because I had to drink it and quick – it was more about the fact that the picture wouldn’t tell you that much – well that’s my story and I’m sticking to it! Just in case you wanted to know – Dad had a Heineken, Mum a glass of Merlot and me a glass of Pinot Grigio.

And then the main event...dessert...
You guessed it...Crème Brulee for me; Dad went with the Sorbet Trio, while Mum settled on something called the “Chocolate Peanut”.

OMG! This brulee was spectacular! It was so creamy, yet still quite solid – you know how sometimes they can be runny?...not this one.

Mum’s was also great very unusual in presentation – but delicious. Dad enjoyed his – a bit boring for mum & I – but he was happy!

All in all a GREAT meal; and definitely worth the 2 table service credits each.
This meal would have cost us: $166.15 – instead it cost us 6 table service credits. The beverages cost us $31.68.

Without wanting to give too much away...cause I want you to keep reading – but this was our highlight meal of the trip. We all enjoyed it so much.
It’s already on the list for next trip!

Great reviews :thumbsup2

I really like the look of the chocolate peanut dessert at YSH :lovestruc
