I had really been looking forward to dinner tonight after hearing Pete rave about the restaurant on the podcast...
Yes we went to Yachtsman Steakhouse!
Although the restaurant was far from full they did make us wait for our table - maybe 15 minutes which I thought a little strange...but we got over that pretty quickly!
First there was the yummy bread...oh so good! But must remember...good steak to come – don’t fill up on bread...but I couldn’t help it!!!
Then...I ordered the Filet, Dad went with the New York Strip, and Mum just to be different went with the deconstructed Beef Wellington
This was so good. The Filet was AMAZING!!! So amazing...this is what I left...
Dad was incredibly happy with the Strip, and Mum very much enjoyed the Wellington (although deep down I think she had food envy!)
We also decided to have alcoholic beverages with our meal tonight – (no photo sorry) – and this time it’s not because I had to drink it and quick – it was more about the fact that the picture wouldn’t tell you that much – well that’s my story and I’m sticking to it! Just in case you wanted to know – Dad had a Heineken, Mum a glass of Merlot and me a glass of Pinot Grigio.
And then the main event...dessert...
You guessed it...Crème Brulee for me; Dad went with the Sorbet Trio, while Mum settled on something called the “Chocolate Peanut”.
OMG! This brulee was spectacular! It was so creamy, yet still quite solid – you know how sometimes they can be runny?...not this one.
Mum’s was also great very unusual in presentation – but delicious. Dad enjoyed his – a bit boring for mum & I – but he was happy!
All in all a GREAT meal; and definitely worth the 2 table service credits each.
This meal would have cost us: $166.15 – instead it cost us 6 table service credits. The beverages cost us $31.68.
Without wanting to give too much away...cause I want you to keep reading – but this was our highlight meal of the trip. We all enjoyed it so much.
It’s already on the list for next trip!
