I got the Radisson for 110!

That is a great rate for there. I looked today and it was $159

I got the AAA rate of $90.

is that the stay & park fare?? did you just book a room or did you have to tell them you were going to leave your car there as well?? The rates I saw said, "cruise rate" $160

My understading is that all rates include the parking and shuttle, and I am sure I read it on my reservation. The cruise package includes breakfast.

you don't have to book the room and cruise package to park your car there. I booked thru hotels.com about 4 months ago. Just called the Radisson and all is set. . . we're on the first shuttle to the ship!

We'll be on our fourth Disney Cruise (Once on the BIG RED BOAT if anyone remembers the old Premier Cruise Line that Disney first used) and this is our third on the Disney ships (2nd time on the Magic).

We're coming in from Dallas for a great week on the seas! This is our 14th cruise and the Disney Cruise Line is one of our favorites!

tigger61. . .welcome aboard with us! Disney is our favorite cruise also. . .this is our 4 Disney cruise. . .our 3rd on the Magic with the same ports of call. . .it seems our daughters spring break never works out for the western carribean. . .

Two short weeks remain. . .lots to do. . .shopping for dd some clothes, shoes and swimwear today. . .all on a rainy Saturday here!

Char.....you have terrible weather to shop in!! It is all south of us thank goodness. The weatherman is calling for a light dusting of snow here tonight....I will believe it when I see it!

We went shopping Friday night. Both girls found a bathing suit. They had to have a certain kind for church camp so that is what they will be wearing on the cruise also. No bikini's at church camp

I ironed a few clothes, packed them. And yes, I am putting a case of water in a rolling suitcase and checking it through with my luggage.
The water maybe fine onboard, but I am not willing to take that chance. When we were on the Glory we didn't take any water with us and the water was terrible!!

Off to wash clothes!!!

Thanks for the info on the boards as it has been quite helpful! First Disney cruise . . . our fish extender is finished! YAHOO . . kids will be thrilled as they have no idea-it's a surprise vacation. We were never that lucky as kids! We have lots of goodies to leave for others . . . hope our extender gets filled as well. The various photos of extender gifts is AMAZING! We're on 7th floor near the front . . . sunshine and NO Midwestern SNOW rocks!

I didn't make a fish extender. Our dd's are way past that.

1st......When are you going to tell you kids that they are taking a cruise???

I have been looking at the port canaveral web cam.....i am going to try to watch the magic sail away.

We hope to hold off until Saturday morning when we take the shuttle to the port. We are picking them up from school and taking them straight to the airport.

That is so cool!!! How old are your kids?? We did that once when we took our dd's to DW. They were 6 & 3 at the time. It was wonderful!!

Surprises are fun for our kids! The only part of this trip that will be a suprise for our dd will be checking out of school on Friday at lunch! We did suprise her in November with a trip to WDW for Thanksgiving.

1stDLCcruise. . .a helpful thing for your room is a cloth shoe rack for your bathroom door. It is great for holding bath items, sunscreen, as well as shoes! We were on the 7th floor March 2007. Be sure to book dinner or brunch for yourself and spouse at Palos. It's an additional cost but so worth it. . .we prefer the brunch but always book both!

Hopelea. . .overcast here is afternoon. . .storms seems to have past. . . still haven't shopped today. . .cooked lunch for tomorrow for our Bible study group. Maybe shopping this afternoon.

we are under a winter weather warning!!! Suppose to snow tonight!!!

I looked online for palo brunch ressies and they were already booked. Oh well, maybe there is a waiting list.

I am watching the magic sail away........she is still sitting in port.

Well hopela and SB's Mom - our girls are going to have a great time hanging around together so I am sure we will see lots of eachother.

Okay - I can't believe you are going to put water in a suitcase I believe you can just check it as is if you like. I saw that on the last trip. You are driving to the port correct? At least you won't have to pay airline charges on it.

SBs Mom - DD13 told your DD all about her new dress tonight. I am sure you will hear all about it.

I did find the port times if anyone is interested.

Better go..life is crazy here right now and I just needed a little vacation fix before I head off to bed.

Crazy weather here in South Alabama this weekend. Sunny, stormy, and now snow! Come on Summer!

Hey 1stDCLCruise, are you taking a shuttle from the Radisson at the Port? If so, what time were you assigned. We're on the 10 a.m. shuttle.

We'll it time to start making list so nothing is forgotten. I'll be shopping on Friday by myself for this trip. DH has a business trip this week and will be in late Friday night.
No luck on the swimsuit thing for my dh yesterday so we'll be shopping in the snow.

We are having really cold weather, and we are all complaining of sore throats, so I sure hope that we get sick now and not in 2 weeks.

Someone posted the time in St John's for 8:00, does anyone know if it is normal for the tour times to be before the ship docks? I would really like to do the excursion to Trunk Bay, but the meet time is 7:15 and that is too early
for my daughter, but if the shipping is docking later now maybe the meet times will be later.

It is snowing here in northern Alabama....it is not sticking much here, but it is blowing snow!

We have a small roll on suitcase that we are putting the sealed case of water in. It will be nice to have the extra space when we are packing up our purchases!!!

Yeh, things are a little crazy right now. But everyone goes through this and it is part of the normal cycle of life, so we too shall endure. Thanks for the offer and keep my dear Father-in-law in your prayers.

It is terribly cold here this weekend but at least we got the dress and shoe thing done for DD13. Today we are going out to find DD10 a new pair of shoes as well....have I told any of you how much I hate shopping......
