Hopelea - I live in northern Madison County...almost to the Tennessee state line and yes we had a nice little dusting this morning. It was a wet snow and now it's all melted except for a little on our deck that's shaded. It's so cold here too...I can't wait to get on that ship and soak up some rays!

I see in your previous post that you live in the northern corner of Scottsboro...would that happen to be Skyline? We had a camper up there many many years ago.

I never cruise without ours. It does make a huge difference in keeping organized and clean. This will be 6th DCL cruise and I've always keep ours and use it at home in our master bath...that reminds me...I need to clean it out and get it ready!

It is so cold here today. It will be really nice to get into the warm sun...

I have been thinking that we might leave our over the door shoe holder at home this time. We took it on our last carnival cruise and really didnt' use it too much. I don't know yet. I have a few more days to decide!

Tent Camping Mom . .I grew up in Athens. . .lots of relatives in Madison county especially on the Limestone/Madison county line.

Snow is long gone here. DD is so disappointed.
But now it is just cold!

Thanks for the info on the boards as it has been quite helpful! First Disney cruise . . . our fish extender is finished! YAHOO . . kids will be thrilled as they have no idea-it's a surprise vacation. We were never that lucky as kids! We have lots of goodies to leave for others . . . hope our extender gets filled as well. The various photos of extender gifts is AMAZING! We're on 7th floor near the front . . . sunshine and NO Midwestern SNOW rocks!

I don't want to put a damper, but just so you are aware, we have not organized a fish extender exchange through this DIS thread(hopefully you have one arranged with some other group). I am sorry, I tried arranging one when this thread first started, but I guess there were a lot of cancellations and no one was interested in it, and also we are travelling very lightly so we are limiting what we are bringing.

I am sure you will have a wonderful trip, and I hope you surprise is special.

DH is on a business trip. . .so I'm busy with DD and school work. We're ready for this trip.
But we have a lot to do before we leave next Friday!

Wouldn't you know, the trip is getting close and now our weather is beautiful. Today highs in the low 70s and yesterday it was in the 60s. Tomorrow 60s and Sat. 50s. 50s for here is considered hot for this time of the year so 70s, yikes, lets go swimming lol. I wanted to take our Mustang convertible out when I ran errands but the darn thing wouldn't start!

I have been busy getting organized for the trip. Dave has us all checked in for the cruise. We are back in 8548 for a 4th cruise! Yes, the same stateroom we have already been in 3 other times. Last time I wondered if anybody every hid something in the room and when they cruised again in the room they looked for what they left. This is a regular cat. 3 not the nice midship cat. 3's. Those have better configuration, three wide verandas and just more room but we will take 8548.

Tomorrow I pick up the formal drycleaning. I will start getting clothes out next Monday. I started to listen to my iPod steel drum playlist. Tuesday is haircut day for me and also nails & toes. Then after that is packing time. The next few days will fly by.

I did a little shopping today and need to get DH a couple of things tomorrow.

DD13 has been sick all week, so might be time to see a doctor.

Sunday I will start to put some things together, then Monday I have a message in the hopes of getting my back in good shape to go.

We are starting to get down to the wire now.

Do you realize that the next time the Magic is in port we will be getting on it?

I don't think it really has hit me yet that I will be on the ship this time next week. So much to do!!!!

We are heading off to our first cruise. I cannot believe it is in just six short days! I have so much to learn about cruising and any tips are welcome. We are flying in on Wednesday and staying Friday night at the Port. We have four kids: daughter 15, son 6, daughter 4 and daughter 9 months. The kids are so excited. I hope that they all have a lot of fun.

I saw that some of you have received room upgrades. How did you get that? We are in a Cat 11 on deck 6. I would like to have a window on our room but did not want to pay the extra money (we already had to reserve two rooms). If you ahve any tips about upgrades, please let me know!

Anyone have any daughters around 15? Would love to hear. We are from the Kansas City area.
